I had this happen to me. Put in in a bag with lots of rice near it for up to 72 hours and you should be good. My reason was embarrassing too

Try putting the phone in rice if the water incident is recent. But yes, if your contract includes insurance then you should be able to replace it however, you still might have to pay out of pocket depending on the provider. :-/
