I blogged something like this a month ago and it got negged to fuck, the fact a lot of gays support her even when other candidates were still in the running when she was literally anti-gay before LOL blows my mind. Only thing I agree on, is she's much better than Trump.
Bernie literally passed ONE bill in his 9 years of being in the Senate. Hillary passed more than 1 each year. Bernie is not a plausible president, Hillary may not be the nice person that Bernie is, but she knows how to do the job. Bernie really would be such a flop. And with the help of Bill Clinton who had our economy in one of its best positions in a long ass time, I think she will be successful.
Hillary has been in the White House for Obama serving as Secretary of State. She KNOWS show to run the country and she has experience being the First Lady. Her laws and changes are plausible compared to Bernie. I definitely agree with Bernie and what he has to say but he's asking for too much too fast. I would definitely see a Bernie im the NEAR future but right now we need Hillary to beat trump for the sake of America.
*giggles at the people that haven't realized what Trump is doing...Suggestion...Look at his full record just not what you heard him say in front of crowds he pandered to...The man is smart on how to win primaries...You will see more of the real trump come the general...Amusing thing many of those who support him will be pissed if he wins because his actual views and ideas history shows are very different than what they think...
Lets be real though people put to much focus on the Presidency...The power is in congress yet people put no thought into who they vote in those races...If people paid as much attention there as to who was president we would then get REAL change...
I've asked this before but I've never seen a real reason from Hillary supporters
Always some "experience" based nonsense even tho never in history has it been a requirement to be Secretary of State to be president (and even then she is literally under FBI investigation because she fucked up small details)
Really one of the president's main jobs is to represent America to other nations, and I really don't see other world leaders respecting Bernie in the same way that Hillary will command respect. Yeah, Bernie's policy ideals are better, but that's more of Congress's field, and it's not like Hillary would veto every dem bill.
That being said, I did vote for Bernie in the primary. I just see faults with Bernie and upsides to Hillary that I feel most people don't.
She has the most experience, and who gives a damn if she did not support gay rights a couple of years ago? I can assure you that someone as old as Sanders has not always supported it, and Donald Trump still dosnt. And honestly, social views should not be the main factor in deciding a president.
I don't really give a fuck if she didn't support gay people years ago, the fact of the matter is that even if she's a flip flop she's going to fight for civil rights today, which is more than any of the Republicans, and that's all that matters.
LemJam6 you're so silly babe, of course Hillary has passed bills. Bills for her own selfish reasons that have killed THOUSANDS. Bernie is a good person, also hasn't had the seat yet to make those big power moves. Hillary is a CUNT homophobic racist BITCH.
There's no point in harassing people for their previous stances on civil issues if they currently support civil rights. It just prevents other people from switching stances themselves if they see LGBT giving people shit for their past actions.
i mean, hillary has roughly the same polling lead among women that bernie/trump have among men
so do i get to criticize men for supporting bernie/trump just because they're men? or are identity politics only bad when women and minorities do it
also bernie sanders was an incredibly weak candidate, let's be completely honest
his failures lie squarely on his own shoulders
hillary would have lost to white male biden if he had ran
dustin24688642 haha do you not remember me, we used to talk about politics a bit back in the day
don't go around throwing the word bigot, you should pathetic, especially when you just called someone a cunt
This logic is so dumb. She has supported gay "rights" for a while, she just hasn't fully announced her support of same-sex marriage until a few years ago. Also, while Hillary being a woman may help people's decisions to vote for her, there are many other things about her (her hard work, her policies, etc.) that influence their decision to vote for her.
and I'm going to have to disagree with obscurity
I think both hillary and bernie are strong candidates.
Considering Hillary nearly won in 2008 and how bernie literally came out of no where and gained almost as much support as her in like less than a year.
Fundamentally I like bernie more and voted for him but I will be fine with hillary winning if she goes against trump.
Just hope she can.
It's interesting how many different reasons people have posted for supporting Hilary. I'm in the UK, I have no relevant say but if I could somehow vote, I would vote Bernie. However it's pretty clear that this is a Trump vs. Clinton race for presidency.
It cracks me up how people still believe Sanders is a strong candidate. People throughout history have gone up and promised things that can not be achieved and when they get elected and do none of them people complain. Sanders has promised free education, free healthcare, higher social welfare, to break down wall street and the big corporations and banks and yet has given no plan as to how he will gather the money to achieve those goals, simply because they are unachievable.
Hillary may not be as likeable and doesn't say what people want to hear but that itself makes her the best candidate, at least out of the three remaining ones.
Also, she is a clever politician, I dont blame her for not fully supporting gay marriage when in the center of the political spotlight in a times where the public opinion was that divided. Deal with it
