Kourtney is a castaway from Survivor: One World and a member of the all-female Salani tribe. Due to her quirky demeanor, she quickly found herself on the outs of her tribe, as a 5-person alliance blossomed between Kim, Sabrina, Chelsea, Alicia, and Kat. Even though she wasn鈥檛 part of their alliance, she proved her worth by working hard at camp, slaughtering chickens and making roofs for both tribes. During the first immunity challenge, Kourtney did not fully listen to Jeff Probst鈥檚 instructions regarding the challenge, resulting in Kourtney fracturing her hand/arm in several places. The Manono tribe took the win, rather than sit one of their own out, pissing off the girls. Due to the severity of her injury, the Survivor med team decided to pull Kourtney from the game, her hand and arm requiring surgery. Due to her evacuation from the game, Salani avoided Tribal Council. She is the earliest evacuation in a season of any other castaway and the first (and only) woman to be medically evacuated. Kourtney is one of six people never to visit Tribal Council, including Jonathan & Wanda, Gary, Dana, and Caleb. Days before One World aired, Kourtney went into the doctors for a wellness check, her broken arm still not healed. The doctors discovered a cancerous grapefruit-sized tumor in her abdomen, resulting in emergency surgery, thus possibly saving her life.
