After Generation 1 when pokemon thought it made sense to have a ghost elite 4 member when only 1 ghosts type family existed they had the brilliant idea to make ONE new ghost type and then make a ghost gym leader who doesn’t even use it… Basically generation 2 was the biggest flop in the series. They introduced pokemon(that mostly were terrible) and then they don’t even really use them ever for some reason. But yeah Morty uses 4 pokemon from the Gastly line and everyone in his gym is some creepy ass old woman, the gym design was cool tho.
I know I keep on going on about personality,
but he's a jerk, all he cares about is being the greatest trainer and making sure he catches the legendary bird Pokémon.
The only thin he had going for him is that he had quite a tough team if you didn't have high enough levels. :)
