PART 7/10
#20: Philippines(season 33)
-A common theme of every Gen is that the 3rd season is a “Fans vs Favorites” game. This was no different and the stakes were higher than they ever were in a previous FvF game. This game featured a pair of siblings, Cameron( DrPepsi) and Missy( missalice3). They would take the game by storm and really dominate the entire season, taking the top 2 placements. This season was also notable for Tim( terose) self voting himself out in the pre-merge, only to win 5 duels in a row to get back in the game at the merge.
#19: Madagascar(season 48)
-A game like this is rare. Every single vote in the post-merge game came down to “1 vote left”. I like to call this season the “Season of the Swing Votes”, and it was definitely one of the craziest merge games. To start, one tribe managed to win the first 3 challenges of the season, that tribe somehow, someway, entered the merge down 6-4. Those 4 would managed to flip the game upside down and cause the majority tribe to self destruct. It was also a season where another duo managed to dominate the game, Ethan( Ethan000) and “JaVale”( BigBen1996) ran the game up until the Final 4, when Nolan( mysterygame2) and Krisna( krrais) finally split them up. It was the one and only time in 50 seasons that my pre-season pick to win actually won the game, thanks 000.
#18: Blood vs Water(season 37)
-Up to this point, I have been mentioning duos in games. This game featured pairs at the start, and one of them ran the game from start to finish, and the 20 other people in the game let it happen. Jake( Lemjam6) and Mike( Survivor8) played the most dominating game as a duo in the entire 50 season history. They won more challenges than any other duo, and escaped more Tribal Councils as a known pair than any other in history. Isn’t that right Mud( mudndawilderness)?
#17: Heroes vs Villains(season 2)
-A top 5 season from Gen 1, but it ranks in the top 20 overall. This game was basically all new people, with a few exceptions after season 1. Each player would apply as either a Hero or Villain, however they wanted to identify in the game. This game featured pre-merge boots that would have more success later in the series like flamergamer8 and Keitho44. The game ultimately came down to Jack( Kumquat78910111) and Daniele( DanieleD). For an early season, this one really was memorable as it featured the “Saboteur” twist, and they ended up winning the entire season when it was all over.
#16: Panama(season 47)
-Part of the final stretch of this series featured some of the best games and casts I had a chance to host. This season brought back 3 players who I felt were deserving of another chance, as their recent appearance left them with a bad taste in their mouth. This game also featured a 2nd run of a twist used in the 40th season, the “Island of the Possessed”. It allowed one player to “possess” someone on the losing tribe and cast their vote. One person was randomly selected 4 different times to be the possessor, surviving each time. This season’s finish is memorable for Jera( XxHeroxX) not voting as a juror, and then Crae( craeola) winning over Magnus( magge555550101) in a tie breaker vote.
