if you could, right now, be told the full name of your soul mate and date that you'd meet them, would you want to know?
On one hand, it would ensure you don't miss out on them. If you don't know, you could easily just like pass them on the street or something and never even know it and miss out on the strong relationship you'd have.
But on the other side, which is what im leaning towards more, I worry that having the information would really damper your life until you DO meet them. I mean, if you know who your 100% perfect match is in life, what motivation is there to date anyone else? If Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind taught us anything, it's that even if a relationship wasnt meant to last, it can still carry great meaning and you as a person can grow from it a lot and treasure it. You miss out on all the failed relationships that make you grow along the way. Even if you do date other people, there's still the fact in the back of your mind that they aren't really "the one", that you'd be happier with that other person.
I think I probably wouldn't want to know. Then again i've been a polyamorist for a while now so I guess that answer is kinda expected from me.
