Basically this will just be a recap of what happened in the game from hugatree343 and I's perspective.
Coming into this season, hugatree343 and I were predicted as this season's first boots....
Week 1 in this season, Hug and I agreed to just lay low in the challenge and let other teams fight one another (since it was a swordfight). We ended up NOT getting last which was great in our minds because as long as we weren't last, we felt confident in our social abilities to convince the winners of the challenge to not send us in. Needless to say, it worked, and we had already improved on our predicted placements for this season!
Week 2......is another story....basically, the challenge was parkour and I knew we were screwed. Hug could only do the first obstacle and REFUSED to go any further because he was scared he would fall. So me, being the amazing partner I am, started SCREAMING at him on call telling him to MOVE IT! He refused, we got last, and we were automatically going into The Pit. Billy/Bobby (which were our closest allies) ended up getting voted in by the winners, and we were all DEVASTATED. I decided to go in for Me/Hug, and Billy decided to go in for his team. I ended up beating Billy 2-0 in the elim, and Myself/Hug's journey this season DID NOT end there!
Then we skip to Week 3, and that awful Bloodlines format of the Red/Blue Teams emerged. Hug/Myself were CHEERING on call, because there wasn't a Last Place Loser (lol). The first round of teams, Hug and I just slid by, but the next TWO rounds.....were not that pretty. Basically, Hug and I made a calculated decision to flip to the other side (including splozojames50, chazza647, mysterygame2, bigdizzleyomama), because it had people we trusted more in that alliance. This pissed off the other alliance, and they tried to vote me in for the next two rounds. Because we flipped into a majority, while I did get 13 votes to go in, Hug/Myself ended up surviving the teams phase.
After the premade was essentially completely annihilated, we got down to the final 6 teams. AND SHOCKER, we were put back into duos. Hug/Myself were so annoyed, because we knew that if we ever got last in a challenge, that we would be going into The Pit automatically, and we would 99.9% be going home. SOMEHOW......SOMEWAYYYY (s/o to Jesus), we ended up NOT getting last for the last three rounds (although we were very close 2/3 times), and the winners of the challenges knew better than to send us in bc we're legit the layups of this season.
So by a COMPLETE MIRACLE, Hug and myself ended up making the final challenge. We knew that ANY combination of teams in that final were going to beat us. We were getting 3rd REGARDLESS, so we're not ashamed of the game we played, because getting to a final TO US....was winning. We made some people so mad/bitter to the point where they retired, but that's a whole other story. According to Hug, we are INFLUENTIAL ICONS!!!!!
