Overall it was okay....I'll prob watch the whole season, but Survivor Australia was 100x better! So so much better!
Regarding the episode though, I don't really like the first impressions twist because there's no challenge between that and tribal to change people's opinion of you. It just sucked to see Hannah be singled out bc she's bigger...Dee on the other hand...she kind of did it to herself lol. Don't get me wrong though, I felt so bad for her because Survivor literally is her life and she just wanted to live out her dream, but...she shouldn't have raised her hand when the host asked if someone was "willing to be a villain to win." That's her mistake.
Redemption Island is very random for a first season, but I guess they just wanted to start off "big?" Idk, but that was probably my favorite part of the episode TBH.
Things to criticize:
• Too many questions at tribal (I mean Jeff does it the same way, but I just think the host asks random questions and doesn't ask questions based on somebody else's answer)
• No Idols
• The way they fold votes
• The voting urn...yikes
• Voted out people getting final words to their tribe after they've left? (lol)
• The torches looking like backyard tiki torches
• Tree Mail being some low-budget box in a tree
