Favorite 39 Survivor Characters #8

imageRanking my favorite 39 Survivor characters in a redo of a ranking I did almost 2 years (just after One World) plus 3 extras as homage to Australia. A lot has changed after I rewatched seasons 1-27 so it will have a lot of changes from bottom to top. Cagayan won't be included because too recent and would need to rewatch which won't happen for a while.

Keep in mind that everyone who made this list for me is in like the top 10% of Survivor characters for me so getting 42 isn't a slight in the slightest

this ranking did not have a 2 month lag inbetween posts, that is not the blog ranking you are looking for

8- Tom Westman

Tom Westman was the incumbent ruler of my ranking coming into this. He fell a bit, mostly because other characters emerged as heavyweights as opposed to Tom fading any. The only knock I’m giving to Tom is his HvV incarnation isn’t as strong as I used to hype. He’s certainly great as an underdog and his big move with JT and Colby is great TV, but in general he’s not fantastic there.

Tom is one of the better heroes the show has produced, even if the edit is favorable to him. He played a fantastic game in Palau, exerting dominance in a way that is really uncanny. No one could stop him, even though capable players like Gregg and Jenn tried to oust him. He was a rare blend of the strategic, social, and physical aspects of the game and is just fun to watch. His relationship with Ian, and the trio of Tom-Katie-Ian are some of my favorites, such as when Tom and Ian were ready to go to rocks, IDK the pair of them just seems so epic. Obviously there is also the 12 hour duel of fate that Tom won.

Tom is great, maybe not as great as I once raved, but still a top ten contestant for me no matter what.

i don't remember who else you ranked from nicaragua already but i feel like fabio might be higher than 7 and you have someone else at 7 but i don't think you would put holly that high so i guess it is fabio then idk

Amaaaaaazed to see him this low.

He's great, though, and we both agree exactly on why so might as well look forward.

And also a lot of these comments are remembering why I don't go on here any more lol. "Where are Cagayan people and Malcolm and Phillip???? Where's Sharbaugh???" yeaaah ok
