I know why he is still in the competition. It is because he is nice to look at, has a nice accent, and is the only country artist remaining. I understand country music is starting to become the new craze of America on these singing shows, but vote for artists who can sing not artists who sing a particular genre. He is monotone, not the best singer at all, has yet to impress me, and he can barely hold his notes out and makes me wonder if he has any potential at all?
#7. Hannah Kirby
How is this girl still in the competition. Every song she does sounds the same. Her last performance was ATROCIOUS. She literally walked around the stage and barely busted out notes. Her voice is mediocre at best and she isn't memorable. She is still here because she is on Team Blake and that matters a lot surprisingly. I expect her to leave next week for sure even though I can't say the same for my #8.
#6. Joshua Davis
He is a decent singer, but his songs don't go anywhere and they are starting to sound all the same. His Voice Save performance and his live performance on monday were not very good. He missed critical notes and is showing his flaws. I believe Deanna should have been saved tonight since she performed the best of the Voice Saves. He needs to stick to what he does and DO IT WELL if he wants any chance of moving on. I suggest Bruce Springsteen.
#5. Koryn Hawthorne
I know I am going to get major shit for this, but ONE PERFORMANCE DOESN'T MAKE HER A FRONT RUNNER. She has been good all season don't get me wrong, but she hasn't been on the same caliber as the other 4 contestants and that's why she is 5th. I think yesterday's performance will be her peak and I see her leaving in 2 weeks.
#4. Kimberly Nichole
She is so great. Such a fantastic technical singer. The only thing I can say is that I can't remember the songs she has done in the past which is odd since I can remember even the ones for Hannah and Corey. I feel that maybe her song selections are only showing one side to her and I want to see a different dimension. If she can channel her inner "House of the Rising Sun" then she will put herself back in the mix to win it all, but if not she will find herself leaving with Koryn in a shocking elimination because she tends to either steal the show or just dilute herself in the middle of the pack.
#3. Meghan Linsey
I love her so much. She has so much soul and has rocked so many performances. "You make me feel" and "Girl crush" were phenomenal and as much as I hate blake winning this show she is my 2nd favorite in the competition. You will see why she is 3rd on this list in a second. I can't wait to hear what comes from her next. She is one of the only competitors that I would buy an album from.
#2. Sawyer Fredericks
I would have put him 4th on this list. He has a great tone and rasp to his voice, but his songs tend to be super repetitive and slow-going. I like that he shows a different side to him with songs like "Iris" and "Collide" but I don't feel that is where he excels and sadly the only place he truly shines is in the slower songs and overtime I feel that it all starts to sound the same. He starts off slow and then has random bursts of energy and his rasp comes out. He is #2 because he has hit the top 10 both weeks and has major momentum. I hate to cheer against him, but I don't want this to be a cake walk/
#1. India Carney
This is biased I know, but I truly feel that she can turn up the heat in these next 2 weeks and make herself a threat to Sawyer. She has such a unique voice and a great lower register. Her higher register has some natural cracks that are just absolutely majestic. With the right songs she will start slaying all your favorites. Her and Meghan are my favorites now that Deanna is gone. I have a feeling that if Xtina puts her thought into every song she gives India that she will take home her first coaching victory after she got JIPPED with Lindsay Pavao back in Season 2.
