First, let me apologize for taking so long. Without being able to bring the laptop to work, I can't just work on these on the go like I used to, and so I end having to just go to work and then go to sleep. But we have it now!
Season 3 of the Descendants is at a close, and Season 4 has been set up to what I think will be another insane season. One I feel will be a "Who am I" kind of season, kind of like what Shadow the Hedgehog went through in the video game named after him, except much better. Once again I will be handing out Awards and I will also take a look at how my theories did in Season 3. But before we get to that, let's say a heartfelt farewell to those who were just cut short from being alive at the end of Season 3.
In Memorium:
Sabrina's ability to control her envy and jealousy - EPISODE 1 - EPISODE 20 Cause of death: Being shot in the funeral and becoming lost in Sabrina's resurrection Because this was revealed in "United We Stand", I'm including this now. It was a huge part of what made Sabrina Sabrina. She's lost one of her best aspects without it. Abnormal - (Gabriel Montez - Magic Male) - EPISODE 12 - EPISODE 28 Cause of death: Shot in the head by Ruthie I didn't really expect Gabriel to die, but I also am not sad he's gone. He was much too careless and it cost him. Anywho, rest in peace. tkoj555 - (Quinton Benjamin - Water Male) - EPISODE 1 - EPISODE 28 Cause of death: Devoured by demons He got what was coming to him from Tisha. He put his hands in Crimson's cookie jar for too long, continued being a slimeball, and now not only did he lose Tisha, he's lost his life. I've never liked Quinton, so hopefully Wendy can become a better character than he could ever be. imprincearthur - (Edward Mott - Shadow Male) - EPISODE 1 - EPISODE 29 Cause of death: Body smashed by a tree during the tornado It was sad to see him die, but I knew his time was up once I saw his ghost visitors back in Episode 26. He at least gets to see his family again and reunite with them, so that is the one silver lining I see from Edward getting axed. Topazisqueen - (Evelyn Shields - Air Female) - EPISODE 5 - EPISODE 29 Cause: Shot in the heart by Ruthie to save Tisha's life Just like Edward, Evelyn was someone I knew was on borrowed time for a while. It was heartwarming though to see her come back and help Tisha out in her final moments as well as be the one to take down Samuel!
Retired?: Fell6 (Jenni Valentine - Energy Female) - EPISODE 1 - I'm glad to see Jenni see that peace isn't always possible. That being said, I do wish she thought over her decision to leave New Haven. I hope she comes back in Season 4, and she, like I said, she could become this series' version of Morgan!
Final Words: "Evelyn, you ma have been a rat, but you at least kicked ass at crunch time.
Jenni, good luck finding who you are!"
(Arlene Giles - Shadow Female) - EPISODE 12 - Of the 2 characters I have, I love Arlene more. Unlike her brother who doesn't have to deal with change to be on the winning side quite so much, Arlene is showing more dynamics by being willing to adjust her lifestyle with the help of her brother. I anticipate Season 4 will be a season of Arlene figuring out how best to fit in once she does adapt to having a more heroic alignment. She will have her struggles of course, but I think Arlene can pull through for a long time.
(Carlisle Giles - Energy Male) - EPISOPE 21 - Just because I said I preferred Arlene to Carlisle doesn't mean I don't like him. On the contrary, I think he's an amazing character. It's just that he's not as easy to think about how I would want to see him grow from Season 3 like his siste. I want him to grow as his own character too though. When I made his application, I almost put he was going to be a direct heir to an Ultimate Energy Descendant. Maybe this can be helpful in developing who Carlisle is because he has a lot of mystery behind him. Maybe that Ultimate Descendant was still an Ultimate Descendant when planting their seed in one of his direct ancestors or gave birth as an Ultimate Descendant and that is how Carlisle got so powerful.
hints - (Tisha Mai - Water Female) - EPISODE 1 - Overall, Tisha did fall for me in Season 3 because she seemed so untouchable until Episode 29. Once Ivy came close to killing Tisha though, that's when Tisha finally had a moment of vulnerability and I began to grow into Tisha again. Basically, Tisha just needs to be in harm's way from time to time enough so I am reminded that she is just as touchable as the rest of the cast and the rest will write itself about her.
(Ivy Lange - Poison Female) - EPISODE 22 - Speaking of, this character hasn't had a lot of development in Season 3. Her power is no doubt great, but we need to point blank know more about Ivy if we want to care about her. tkoj555 - (Wendy Mayweather - Shadow Female) - EPISODE 11 - With Wendy finally getting past Mia, I feel Season 4 will a good chance for Wendy to branch out and show just what she's capable of on her own. With Trinity coming to replace Quinton in the cast list, what if, storywise, she replaces Mia instead of Quinton? That would actually be cool and work out in Wendy's favor. Macda27 - (Mac Anderson - Nature Male) - EPISODE 1 - I think cutting Sabrina off was the best thing Mac could have done. His relationship with Sabrina was hopelessly irreparable throughout this season, so it was the only thing Mac could do. I still think Mac can die in the near future, and now Sabrina won't want anything to do with him. In a nutshell, I still think Mac is on borrowed time.
(Kate Anderson - Nature Female) - EPISODE 12 - I get why she showed Evan her power, but did she ever THINK about the consequences of doing so!? Jesus Christ was she being stupid! Now, I get how people think she was redeemed as a character, but for me personally, to be redeemed, you have to do something to make me hate you in a sense, and Kate still hasn't done that despite making stupid choices from time to time. Fell6 - (Violet Summer - Magic Female) - EPISODE 12 - With Jenni possibl being cut soon, Violet will need to step up her game in Season 4. I expect she'll disappoint like usual, but one can hope, right? And because of hope, I am giving Violet one more chance. ForYouSelena - (Sabrina Del Rosa - Holy Female) - EPISODE 1 - Sabrina should have seen the break-up coming. Her failure to trust Mac as a lover was her ultimate downfall. I get that her resurrection had side effects, but that is no excuse to just push Mac off just because he was teaching Alexis. I hope she grows up in Season 4. Coolkat - (Chandler Park - Poison Female) - EPISODE 1 - Chandler is still an amazing character, having figured out that Crimson wasn't all she has been made out to be. With her best friend's brother coming into the cast in Season 4, we know it's going to affect to affect Chandler in some manner, and I'd be interested to see how it does affect Chandler. IceIceBaby - (Crimson Wilson - Fire Female) - EPISODE 2 - Crimson has finally gotten her redemption, no question about it. In the process, we got to find out who exactly "Norissi Wimlic" was. To be honest, I would have Norissi was one of the ancient Guardians the title of the series was referring to, but to find that Norissi was Crimson was a cool consolation. The biggest thing I want to see from Crimson now is to find how she can open herself as a person in a manner that still keeps her mysterious aura in check. Just like I said, Season 4, I feel, will be an identity driven kind of season where the big question is who am I and this I feel will definitely pertain a lot with Crimson. RyanAndrews - (Samuel Weeks - Air Male) - EPISODE 1 - With Evelyn gone, Samuel is now the lone Air Descendant left in the series. Of course, Samuel has fallen so far since losing John that his emtional scar does not look like it will ever heal, so he could be too far gone. I hope he can rebound soon, but all might be lost for him at this point, meaning he might as well be dead. It seems like Air is not exactly the luckiest power to have. _Ivyyy_445 - (Bailey Jaxxon - Human) - EPISODE 1 - Bailey has had callbacks to her Season 1 self in the finale, but thankfully, it wasn't in a manner that made me want to hate her again because we ALL know how awful Bailey was in Season 1. I also find it interesting Bailey would want to be a Descendant, but how exactly would this pan out? And what kind of powers would she have? Honestly, Air and Nature would be good choices since we haven't had any new Air or Nature characters since Season 1. Additionally, there is only 1 Air Descendant left in this story who is still alive (that being Samuel), so if Bailey became an Air Descendant, that would fill in the void quite well. topazisqueen - (Brittany Rose - Poison Female) - EPISODE 11 - While Arlene got a twin brother who was her opposite, and Anthony is getting a twin brother who will be HIS opposite, Brittany will be getting a twin sister who acts just about the same as her. Lord help me! As you can probably tell, I am not looking forward to Briana at all. BUT I think this can present a good chance for development for Brittany in Season 4 that we haven't gotten in past seasons. Also, when can see Brittany use her powers? I don't think I've ever seen Brittany USE her powers even once, but I could be wrong. JourdanBabyXoXo - (Adore Laison - Fire Female) - EPISODE 11 - Adore has been an audience member at this point, being the one to ask questions. I do like that she was the one to say the "United We Stand" line in Episode 28, but that's about all. KaseyHope101 - ("Ruthie" Margaritiana - Human) - EPISODE 12 - The Ruthie death toll continues to climb as she has iced both Gabriel AND Evelyn! But all she has had so far is that she is some gun-wielding psycho bitch who has fun killing people. So basically, Ruthie is a sadist, and I feel she will stay a sadist until the bitter end with her pleasure in killing people. Rawr121 - (Anthony Kuryente - Magic Male) - EPISODE 12 - So Anthony is getting a twin brother in Michael, kind of like Arlene getting her twin brother Carlisle! It seems like looking at the applications though that the roles will be reversed in that Anthony is the virtuous one and Michael is the one with questionable morals. It will be interesting to see how that pans out because so far Anthony has not fulfilled his potential. KatarinaDuCouteau - (Esdeath R.L. Quinn - Water Female) - EPISODE 22 - So Esdeath had a hand in the killing of the Giles family when Arlene and Carlisle were little! So in THAT sense, I already know that Esdeath is not above raping people to get what she wants. She also is intelligent, knowing exactly what she needs to get done and how to do it. Esdeath has been nothing but interesting throughout Season 3. In a sense, she could be the Negan of the Descendants. QueenMichelle - (Alexis Ahore - Shadow Female) - EPISODE 21 - Alexis has wrecked the relationship of Mac and Sabrina, but she didn't mean to, AND she has proven she can help when she needs to. But who is Alexis? How does she differ from the rest of the cast? This and more I am hoping will be revealed soon. Katherinee_ - (Katherine Montgomery - Shadow Female) - EPISODE 21 - She's joined Esdeath! Just as I expected! But didn't she want to rule the world too? So wouldn't that mean she would have to overthrow Esdeath at some point to do that? The only thing about Katherine to me that is certain is that she gives more questions than answers. Turkeylover - (Angel Devon - Holy Female) - EPISODE 22 - Angel has had some role at the end of Season 3 as opposed to being killed off. Wasn't she going to a job interview in Season 3? That needs to be checked up on because that can't just be mentioned and then thrown out like that. With that said, I feel Angel will suit some kind of role in Season 4, but I also think she will get killed off in Season 4. Aerodynamics - (Evan Decker - Human) - EPISODE 21 - See, this is the reason I didn't want to jump the gun to set opinions on Evan. He didn't know about Kate being a Descendant, and now he does! And his reaction, just as I feared, was hostile. But he's still alive when he could have been killed off, so Season 4 could deal with Evan's dealing with just who the Descendants are and which ones he should trust. I also have a feeling Evan and Kate will make amends in some fashion in Season 4. Kelly2722 - (Tori Michaels - Shadow Female) - EPISODE 23 - Tori is still just getting into the waters of this whole series, so expect Season 4 to touch on more of who this girl is and how being related to Mada will affect her. Basically, the big question with Tori is "Who is she" and I feel Season 4 will answer that in some way. It might touch up some more even on who MADA is too!

Theory 1: Kate and Evan will become a couple. - CONFIRMED (The 2 had sex in Episode 27 "The Unravelling", but this was short-lived as the broke up in the season finale once Kate revealed her powers)
Theory 2: Samuel will get Crimson’s Season 2 storyline - CONFIRMED? (He fell into a villainous decline throughout all of Season 3 and is now paying for his actions, just Crimson was paying for her despicable actions from Season 2 when we were coming into Season 3)
Theory 3: Evelyn will die in Season 3 - CONFIRMED (She was killed by Ruthie in Episode 29 "Eye of the Storm")
Theory 4: Arlene will actually turn good, or an anti-hero at the least.
Theory 5: Carlisle was resurrected by a Holy Descendant - DEBUNKED (He survived the lightning strike as a child, as shown at the end of the season finale in a flashback)
Theory 6: Natalya will die in Season 3 - CONFIRMED (Natalya was killed by Esdeath in Episode 25 "Choice")
Theory 7: Natalya was Danny’s mother
Theory 8: Crimson was Danny’s mother
Theory 9: Bobby and Carlisle will die in the same episode towards the end of Season 3 - DEBUNKED (Bobby died in Episode 24 "Sins of My Past" whereas Carlisle is still alive)

Theory 12: Alexis is working for Esdeath - DEBUNKED (Alexis worked Esdeath in Episode 28 "United We Stand")
Theory 13: One of Sabrina and Mac will die, ending the crumbling relationship the 2 have - DEBUNKED, though part of it could still come true (The relationship ended in the season finale because they broke up)
Theory 14: Edward will die - CONFIRMED (He died in Episode 29 "Eye of the Storm" by getting killed via a tree)
Theory 15: One of Arlene or Carlisle will die - DEBUNKED, though this will roll over to the Season 4 line-up (Both are still alive at the end of Season 3)
Looking at what Season 4's applications were like, I can't say I am too excited about the new Descendants coming into the series as a whole, but the humans look like they're going to be intruging, especially Cam and Henry. With people striving to find an identity, Season 4 will have alot of bases to cover and we'll get to some of these people better! Farewell to Season 3! It has truly been an amazing season!
