OK PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE INSULTING/SLAYING/DESTROY/SAVAGE ME.
I'm not saying, and no one should say that, that it's a bad season. It's not. The cast is iconic (well the Final 4 is tbh). But It is the first season so a little washy washy (I'll explain why).
This is that low not because it's an awful season, but because I couldn't enjoy it to her full potential. The quality of the video is fucking gross, it really didn't helped.
The strategy was interesting, but a little too "old school". Like voting by alphabetic order ? Really ? Or voting different persons even being in the same alliance ? It doesn't take someone smart not to do that.
It's very hard for me to explain this, but this was maybe too "old" for me to enjoy it. Ok It inspired a lot of seasons but It was quite boring sometimes. Not enough strategy, and sometimes an annoying cast. Oh and Kelly was robbed (even tho disgusting on Cambodia).
So please before crushing me try to understand my point of view on this. It was very hard for me to put it at 26th but I just never finished the season. It was also too focused on camp life.

1. This was the 1st ever group of reality competition contestants so we got to watch strategy evolve right before are eyes.
2. It was pure to the degree that everything was figured out as it went along for the host producers and contestants alike.
3. camp life is great because it was the 1st time we got to see people living in the wild
4. Almost everyone in Borneo had a different strategy of how to play. That is what made it so great.
The 1st season is honestly a top 10 because it was the most raw edited pure produced season of all time

This season is FAR too low.
I think you're severely under-appreciating how revolutionary and amazing Borneo is, for Survivor and television in general. Not only is it literally one of the most influential seasons of any shows you'll find on television, it's such great TV. Especially due to Richard Hatch- who, as much as I like Colleen, is exponentially better in every way.
Ok I am late to this but this is so so so so so so so so low for Borneo. Borneo always and forever will be my favorite season (actually, it ties with PI but WHATEVER).
Borneo is just such a different animal than any other season. Idek if I CAN rank it with the others because it's just so... different. But without a doubt it's top 5 for me.
