PALAU
It's so hard for me to cut this season so close to the Final 3. But I have to be fair here, and admit that this season was not perfect like the 3 other seasons remaining.
But god this season is so brillant.
First, Stephenie LaGrossa. No word to describe this goddess. You just HAD to root for her this season, whether you liked her or not in Guatemala. She will always remain iconic for being the last survivor of her tribe. The Ulonging is just one of the most famous thing that ever happened in the series. And most definitely the most iconic tribe. Ever. I so wasn't expecting this. Even if in some seasons like Marquesas, some tribes lost a lot of challenges, this time, they lost all of them. It was an awesome thing to watch, Ulong's castaways being voted off one by one, and seeing them lose hope by the episodes. I'm not a monster but everything that led to the firemaking challenge was perfect. This challenge was so intense.
And then the merge came. I was SO happy that Stephenie managed to survive another 2 Tribal Councils. The Coby blindside was fine (great immunity challenge btw), and the TC where Janu quit is, once again, unforgettable. And I disagree, this was not rigged. Maybe Jeff tried to convince her to quit but this was ultimately her choice. I was screaming and begging at my screen for Janu to quit and let Stephenie survives another day. This was just great.
The only flaw that I can say about Palau is maybe that the winner was maybe a little predictible. But not that much because I thought Ian was winning. But of course at the Final 2 we all knew Katie had no shot.
But even after Stephenie was voted off, things remained interesting in my opinion. Like Greg's blindside, the tie when Jenn was voted off and of course, the last immunity challenge that led to another iconic TC where Ian was voted off. I was shocked, wow.
But predictible or not, Tom is one of the best winner ever. We can't deny this, he's very likable. Ian was ok too, a little more shady but that's what I love.
The challenges were also so intense this season, like I love everything about it.
Best castaway : Stephenie LaGrossa.
Worst castaway : James Miller.

I don't' believe this is a top 4 season but it's your opinion and I'm not here to bash you! I did enjoy this season and agreed Stephanie was the only one I rooted for the most. After she was voted out Jenn was my next favourite. Stephanie's story arc was incredible though.
Palau was actually my second season ever, so I loved it when I first watched it. It hasn't really held up in many of my rewatches, though.
Your blog has kind of convinced me to give it more credit than I do, but I just never really loved the cast. Most seasons have at least one person I LOVE, but Palau just didn't really have any. I guess I like Kim, Caryn, Jenn, etc.. Everyone is just kind of meh to me, though.
So hoping that Pearl Islands wins this btw (Best season by far).
I dont agree with this but i respect your opinion. Stephanies story arc was great and i loved Angie and Ian. also plussed cant wait too see which season is number 1 :)
