on my events module we have a project to design our own festivals, obviously fictional.. but I chose to do a festival for drag queens! I've seen almost all of RPDR by now and seen that they do drag race tours and drag itself is something that's growing rapidly imo..
anyway I put forward the idea and during a class the tutor is like.. "Joe, mind if I share your idea as an example?" and I'm like yea sure!!!! So she tells the class...... well, now like 90% of that class think I do drag LOL I haven't told them that I don't because why would it matter if I did or didn't.. I just found is pretty funny how people can jump to conclusions so quickly tbh although to be fair some of them it was a cool idea
either way I'm looking forward to the project, hopefully I will do it justice and open some eyes to what it's about (even though I'm no expert).. but the tutor did think it was a bit of an odd choice so I'm determined to produce something good :)

I was on holiday in the Caribbean over Christmas and all the locals kept talking about was this drag festival that was happening over the weekend (quite strange as it is illegal to be gay there) but they were literally ALL OVER IT.
Millzipede haha that's awesome! My idea is for it to try and change perceptions more than anything and encourage and welcome everyone from all walks of life to have fun =]
