yes, I know, I'm breakin my promise about leaving, I really am, but after reading over my goodbye blog. i really gave little disclosure to why I was departing. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't because of my Survivor game. If one remembers, I was away from Tengaged for several days before I joined Survivor. Survivor was just the icing on the cake.
The reason for my departure is the very reason I left back in January: My job. I'm losing sleep and sacrificing so much of my time to an online game. I was outraged when I was voted out of Survivor. I was walking on pins and needles at work. But I was doing it so that way I could play Survivor, the game that was made for me.
Going into Survivor, I made sure I was active and hardworking, in order to ensure myself a spot in the merge. However, some people just didn't get it. Survivor is about keeping the strong players and dropping the weak. What good is a weak tribe? If you have no strong players, you'll lose challenges and inevitably be picked off at merge.
Now what's really intriguing is when the weak band together. Welcome folks, to a Rookies game. Unfortunately in the long-term, the weak will get their just desserts.
Now like I said, it's not about Survivor. I'm just venting above :p It's about risk and reward. I jeopardize my job for what reward? A 15th sticker? In general, I come on here to play and find that if I'm not active, I get evicted for not talking. If I AM active, I get evicted for being a threat.
Not to mention I'm broke. Surveys are worthless, I see no reliable method of gaining T$, so I'm at a standstill. And I don't want to waste any more time building T$ only to lose it all to a 10th place sticker.
What I'm trying to say is... I'm bored. i can't win from losing. So that's why I'm leaving. The risk is too great, but the reward is too small. I appreciate the goodbyes, and all is forgiven, but I'm moving on. See you guys on the other side, then. :)
