It takes one song to trigger any memory. Whether it be with an old friend (or ex friend), near or far, or an ex, good or bad, it's all going to flow right back in your system with just...one...song. It only takes one note, then an erosion starts inside as the lyrics start to play out in their familiar rhymes. Those words send you bursting with thoughts of whatever that memory is, or was. You may cry, or laugh, or hold a blank stare as your fingers brush over the pause/next button, because you're not sure if you should change it or not. You're not sure how to feel. Music is that powerful. Isn't that amazing?
Although, sometimes it's not so amazing. Some songs we put on mute, because the whole thing is either too much to take or you're not ready to listen to that song yet. Other than that, music is key. Music is love.
