1960: Durango, Colorado-
Three months have past since Sheri's mothers and fathers death. She is now living with Ms. Coonbar & her 2 daughters Mari & Tanya. Ms. Coonbar is a cryptozoologist who is very passionate about her job. Sheri always loves to over hear her talking about Big Foot, Loch Ness Monster, The Moth Man, etc. One night Sheri hears Ms. Coonbar talking about her and so she goes up to the door. "We have to find this Wendigo, Pratt. We have to....For Sheri & the rest of this town. We need to stop this thing before it comes back."
2010: Durango, Colorado-
"Sam, Mac, You're all ready to go?" Mrs. Ammerman asks as Cody, Kixi, Rudy & Ethan walk over. "Hi Mrs. Ammerman, whats goin on?" Cody asks. She tells them she's taking the boys out of the town. Sam & Mac in silence and have annoyed looks on their faces grabs their suitcases and throws them in the trunk. "She's making us leave. She's so paranoid about the murders." Mac tells them. Kixi says her goodbyes & gives Mac a kiss on the cheek. Mac begins to blush and hops in the van and gives a smile. Cody is in disbelief that his best friend Mac, is gone and doesn't know how long they will be gone for. Ethan says he's worried about Shannon knowing she didn't reply to his texts to see if she made it to Idaho safely. Kixi tells him she probably doesn't want to talk to him at the moment and offers to text her for him.
Ian Nightingale, a photographer that has come from California decides to go camping in the Durango mountains where he has a pretty view of all of the town. He decides to set up camp in a flat snowy area by some huge majestic looking trees so tall they disappear into the fog. He sets up camp and notices he needs to make a fire to stay warm and make food so he grabs his backpack and starts heading into the forest to grab some wood. Along the way he snaps really pretty pictures of the nature around him. He takes a beautiful photo of a few rabbits sniffing around. Ian remembers he has some pears in his backpack so he takes them out and gives them to the rabbits. As he looks back at the photos he took of them, he notices a cave in the back left corner. He puts the camera around his neck, looks over at the cave at walks over to it. The cave is pitch black & Ian grabs his flashlight. He covers his nose as the cave reeks of rotten meat. Inside the cave are some scratched up baby pictures and a deformed doll head. Ian shines his flashlight to the left and a sheep laying on the ground with maggots eating the sheep alive. Ian starts to panic and runs out. Ian escapes but as soon as he gets outside the hooded guy who has a black cover over his face grabs Ian by his neck with his long pale blue fingers and picks him up. In a deep demonic voice "Well, Well, Well looks like trespassed into my property. You're lucky I don't have an appetite right now or you'd be my dinner. I'll let you go...for now but I want you to send a message to the sweet people of Durango. If you do as I say, you will live. if they try to leave town, they die. If they try to come after me, they die. If they get in my way, they die." The Wendigo throws him on the ground. Ian scrambles to get up and runs off Leaving his camera behind.
Katie & Tanner decide to help Rudy go grocery shopping to stock up his fridge and cabinets. As Tanner goes over to get some vegetables, Katie talks to Rudy more about his life & how she never met an open gay person and she find him really interesting. Rudy asks her why Tanner is overly-protective and she tells him the situation with their mom and he feels like he always needs to protects her. Rudy agrees but tells her that she shouldn't be so sheltered.
Ian is seen running a few miles down the mountain and as soon and he gets close to the road he sees a car flipped over. He goes to check it out & sees Sam and Mac crying for help while Mrs. Ammerman is unconscious. Ian then sees the spikes in the road which caused them to flip over with a message in the snow out of blood which said "NO ONE LEAVES".
"Are you 100% positive this is the Wendigo?" Nik asks. "I am 2000% positive. As I told you before, I've over heard your grandmother talk about how it killed my parents........as well as your parents & grandmother" Danica & Nik feels taken aback by this. "Every 25 years for 2 weeks the Wendigo possesses someone and begins to feed. Ever since we were children and your grandmother brought me in, she always talked about it with your mothers and I. We thought she was crazy & never really thought we would actually come in contact with one until one night in 1985. Danica was 1 & you Nik, were a few months old. The Wendigo busts in the house while we were having a family dinner at your grandmothers. Us three were in the basement which was made into a playroom for you both. While we were playing around having a good ol' time all I heard was screaming & thrashing. We were in that basement for what seemed like forever. I totally blacked out what I witnessed after that......I was reliving a nightmare that I felt like I dragged your family into as well.". Danica in tears gets up and walks out through the back without saying a word. "Hey cutie, wanna ride the Zachmobile?" Zach asks. Danica tells him to piss off & Zach speeds off blasting music. Danica gets back to her apartment & breaks down crying as she grasps on a picture of her mom & dad.
