This album is one of those albums that is considered a masterpiece. It's like a fairytale. Lana takes us to a different time. The songs are emotional and beautifully composed with dark tunes -- "Lana Del Rey style". They are actual poems by Lana Del Rey turned into songs. Her voice is seductive and sad at the same time. Something about this album makes you feel like waking up after a good dream. Getting Auerbach on this record was the best thing she could have done. This is a very confident, bold album.
I'm a huge fan of Lana's...she is without a doubt my favourite artist of all time. For me her debut, Born To Die, was my favourite album of 2012 and Ultraviolence is just as good of an album, if not better. Its a perfect blend of pop, indie rock, alternative and blues. This is Lana at her best. She has finally unleashed her full potential and shines throughout the whole album. She came to make a difference in the music industry and this new album is the proof of it.
