It really displays the mistrust and misunderstanding people have towards atheists. When they proclaimed to be a Christian group raising money for a children's hospital, people gladly donated, but when they said they were atheists, (they literally only changed the word Christian to atheist and changed the cross to the image of an atom) they got questions like "How do we know the money will actually go to where it says." Why didn't they stop and ask this when it was the Christian group? What makes atheists so inherently untrustworthy in the minds of those people?
