Hey everyone sorry for the delay, I've been very busy. I have a free hour to do another of these, so I picked out Cristina Yang M.D. the real star of Grey's Anatomy. Sorting Cristina was very hard because I really think she can fit well into any of 3 houses. There is one that I don't see as compatible for her at all, so I'll start with that one.
Hufflepuff: While she is clearly dedicated and works hard to reach her goals, these traits hardly define her character. Additionally she has a noticeable lack of other traits Hufflepuff house values, namely patience (she is often depicted as having little patience), fair play (she is shown many times "cheating" or encouraging others to cheat in order to get ahead), kindness (while she is not necessarily cruel or unkind, I think it would be very inaccurate to say that she is kind) and loyalty (while not necessarily disloyal, she isn't afraid of viewing her friends as competition and trying to get ahead of them).
I'm of the opinion that Cristina would fit in well with any of the other 3 houses. I was able to narrow it down to 2 best fits and the best fit.
Gryffindor: Like I previously said, I think Cristina could fit into Gryffindor. She shows her courage, nerve and bravery many times throughout the series. However, I do not believe these traits define her as a character or motivate her the most.
Slytherin: In my opinion, Slytherin is Cristina's second most compatible house. Her ambition is certainly a driving factor in her actions. She wants to be a world class surgeon and pushes herself to extremes to achieve this goal. But does Christina run into complex surgeries because she thinks they will look good on her resume? Perhaps, but I think her motivation for a love of surgery is her love of learning, which makes me think she fits better into Ravenclaw than Slytherin
Ravenclaw: I'm sorting Cristina into Ravenclaw. She loves learning complex procedures, and while it can be interpreted that she does so because of her ambition, I feel that the real reason is her love of learning. I think her love of learning is her true guiding force in her actions, even trumping her ambitions. Of course, Cristina is intelligent, and another strong trait of Cristina's is her wit both of which are Ravenclaw traits.
WHEN THE SORTING HAT WAS PLACED ON CRISTINA'S HEAD IT TOOK SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE SHOUTING RAVENCLAW! (Cristina is a Ravenclaw/Slytherin/Gryffindor hat stall)
