6th grade. Assistant librarian spent a bunch of time trying to get me this specific book I was looking for. I eventually just asked my mom to buy it for me. Some time later, librarian finds book. She looks at me, super excited. I say "oh, I already have that, but thanks." Her face when... feels bad.
