Just up to episode 7, this ranking is how based on how shitty that persons actions towards her were from least to most shitty. Making this list mostly to use the spoiler's tag
7. Alex
In the grand scheme of things, Alex's list of hot girls was in my opinion probably not malicious. He didn't stop to think about how it might feel to be on such a list, but I do not blame him for being a 16 year old boy.
6. Jessica
Certainly shitty to leave Hannah without much explanation, but she explains that this isn't the reason she is on the list, the reason is specifically their fight in the coffee shop, which was a complete misunderstanding while Jessica's emotions were running high. Jessica's true fault was not apologizing quicker.
5. Zach
I was all for being against Hannah on this one, saying that she made a mistake putting him on the list because she acted like a total cunt to him when he was trying to have a genuine interaction with her. She's clearly not afraid to seek revenge, after all. Then I saw the letter she left him, basically just asking him to stop because the notes were one of the only things that made her happy. If he had stopped then I would have been upset with him even being included, but he didn't and that was shitty.
4. Courtney
I was very sad about this one and conflicted because I identify heavily with being afraid to come out as gay in high school. Courtney took it too far and betrayed Hannah's trust. It's not as though Courtney was the first person to make up those kinds of rumors about her, but she helped to continue them. If she had been the first I would have been less sympathetic with her position.
3. Justin
Justin shouldn't have showed his friends the picture, but it's clear to me he had no intentions of passing it further than that group. I do not sympathize with his decision to show his friends, but I do give him credit for trying to stop Bryce from sending out the picture.
2. Tyler
He was the first person to violate Hannah, but I do sympathize with him because he seems like he might be mentally ill. He didn't even seem to understand that what he was doing was illegal let alone immoral. I was confused about whether or not he actually sent out the photo, because he tells Clay he didn't mean to, but I don't recall it being revealed who actually sent the photo.
1. Marcus
That was terrible, and he's the only person who I can't pick out anything redeeming about, so that's why he's here.
