I've started running again lately because im going on holiday next month and want to feel comfortable on the beach but also, and the main reason is to train myself for a 10k race in memory of my friend/ bro who died last September. Running a race is on my bucket list so I thought now things are better and placement is over what better motivation than to do it for him and raise money in his name.
ANYWAY i had past my half way point for 5k and was on my way home when suddenly out of frigging NOWHERE this BIG ASSS snake came out of the grass and crossed my path literally RIGHT in front of me. People who know me know how petrified I am of them and they make me feel so sick. understandably this made me jump and i fell sideways (luckily direction AWAY from the G.R.O.S.S. animal) and twisted my ankle. THIS IS WHALES GO HOME.
somhow stupidly ran/hopped home and still managed to beat my record :D did 5K in 27:30 mins (probs really shit compared to lots of people but idc its my PB :P). Anyway home with a pretty swollen ankle...FUN TIMES.
