#36 RION PAIGE
Season: 3
Mentor: Demi Lovato
Placement: 5 / 16
Rion has a huge fan base, which isn't surprising, so I might get flack for having her this low. Besides her story, I just never got into Rion as a performer. She was without a doubt beyond her age as a singer, and I completely understand the Carrie Underwood references, but Rion never intrigued me as a singer. Similarly to Tate, it just isn't my style, hence my disinterest toward her.
But the fact she was eliminated over Carlito of all people was lulzy, who has yet to make an appearance on my list.
#35 RACHEL POTTER
Season: 3
Mentor: Kelly Rowland
Placement: 11 / 16
I remember Rachel was spoiled going into Season 3 and quickly became one of the pre-show favourites to win. She auditions, and everything is looking good. Rachel has a legitimate shot of winning this thing. Then she falls ill and gives a terrible 4-chair challenge performance, which was literally the death of her. The audience proceeded to boo her and demand Kelly switch her out for big black Lorie (goddess). But yeah, Rachel was never able to recover from her 4 chair disaster, hence why she is this low.
Her memorable moment is probably her audition, which was rather good.
(I forget to mention that people were also up-in-arms about how she had past experience and that it wasn't "fair" that she was let on the X factor lmao)
#34 INTENSITY
Season: 1
Mentor: Paula Abdul
Placement: 12 / 17
And people thought Stereo Kicks were bad. InTENsity was hands down the worst executive decision ever made by the X Factor. I mean, 10 people, seriously? Were they trying to recreate Kidz Bop? Intensity was destined to fail, and it was embarrassing, yet hilarious watching them. I'm pretty sure even the individual members were thinking "WTF?" during the process. At least they had "the girl in the red jacket", Ellona Santiago.
