That was a decent episode. We got content from quite a few people, even though there were some people who weren't shown at all. I'll go through the tribes chronologically.
WHITE COLLAR: Cool down episode for them. It's important to note who got content on their cool-down episode. Joaquin literally got nothing about neither Tribal nor about So having been voted out. He either didn't express anything to the cameras or they purposely left out Joaquin because he will be booted soon and the editors didn't want the viewers to get too attached to him and root for him as an 'underdog'.
I think this was a great episode for Max/Tyler/Shirin. Max got the most content with the nudity of course, but Tyler and Shirin had gotten some nice filler confessionals so we don't forget about them. Carolyn literally got nothing which was interesting. We couldn't conclude anything on Carolyn's longevity in the game based off her Episode 1 edit because she was vital to the storyline with So. Now that So is gone, we really got to see Carolyn bare, and she got nothing. If anything, her edit tonight could be validation that she is a pre-merge boot, and was only highly developed in the premiere because she was necessary to the story-line. I'm not counting Carolyn out yet but it'll be interesting to see how her edit develops from here. I think if Carolyn were to go far, she would have gotten a filler confessional tonight a la Shirin or Tyler.
BLUE COLLAR: After tonight I'm going to say that Dan gets his way and outlasts the girls, or at least Lindsey who they've shown making snotty remarks about Dan. This tribe is really hard to predict, but with neither Kelly nor Sierra being shown much for a second episode in a row, I'm finding it hard to believe that Dan is the first Blue Collar boot. But I don't see Mike as a first boot either, so I think that Blue Collars either never lose immunity, or there's a major power-shift once they lose with a possibility of an idol being involved. They're starting to set up a Mike v. Rodney storyline, and if I were to predict a winner, I'd say it would be Mike. The Rodney/Lindsey duo aren't necessarily getting the most positive edits, whereas I think the editors want the audience to side with Mike and Dan. But overall, this tribe is hard to predict.
NO COLLAR: What a fun dynamic. I totally underestimated the No Collar's, and they all delivered. I was thrown off guard but pleasantly surprised at Vince stanning for Nina. I don't think Nina's game is over and I hope that if anything, tonight was the start of her underdog story arc. I mean, she got the episode quote for crying out loud. Who would have thought!? And I do realize that ultimately she spoiled the 3-2-1 blindisde Jenn plan by essentially telling Will that Vince was concerned for his health, but the whole thing was hilarious to watch. Nina brought a lot of great moments for me personally from her melt-down, to declaring that Vince and Will work with her, to outright spoiling the plan, to furiously turning her head toward Will DEMANDING ANSWERS in frustration after Vince had gotten voted out < 333 I'm a little upset Vince was voted out, but his two episode tragic story-arc is pretty funny in hindsight.
But overall, Hali and Will got the best edits tonight I think on NC. Even though Hali was involved with Nina, I feel that she was edited more positively than Jenn. We somewhat got to see Hali's attempts at providing justification for her exclusion of Nina, and partial attempts at trying to console Nina if you will, whereas Jenn didn't really care. Will had also gotten a lot of great content, and we really got to see where his head was at. Great episode for Will. It was also an alright episode for Joe, but I think he's too obvious of a 'golden boy'. His edit is TOO good, and I don't see him winning.
