It’s a cold October evening. It’s been about a month since John’s Big Brother journey had ended. He did not ultimately win the game, but he did win the $25,000 America’s Favourite cash prize, along with a potential girlfriend in Becky. He and Becky had gotten rather close in the Jury House, even going as far as sharing a tipsy kiss. John asked Becky to be his girlfriend the day after the Finale, right before being embraced by a warm kiss on the cheek by a welcoming Becky.
However, John and Becky soon experienced the struggles of maintaining a long-distance relationship. Becky lived in Denver, Colorado, while John resumed his work as a dentist in Scranton, Pennsylvania. John had long hours to make up for his time away from work, and rarely got to Skype chat with Becky.
John was the last to exit his dental office that evening. He opens the passenger side door of his 2010 Honda Accord, and gently drops his scrubs onto the passenger seat door. John makes his way around the car and gets into the driver’s seat. John rests his head on the head-rest, exhausted after a long day at work.
Suddenly, his iPhone 5 goes off. He opens up his text messages, and sees a lengthy three-text paragraph from Becky. She writes that she had enjoyed the time she had spent with John in the Big Brother house and was eager to remain friends, but didn’t think their long-distance relationship would work. John was too exhausted to write back. He positioned his head back on the head rest, and shut his eyes. His Honda Accord was the only car in the parking lot adjacent to the Keystone Dental Center that night.
Meanwhile, John’s house is empty. The evening wind sways the trees. A simple figure approaches John’s front door, and picks his door lock with a bobby pin. The figure enters the home, and shuts the door behind him. The figure is holding a blindfold, handcuffs, and a whip. The figure slowly enters John’s bedroom, and places his belongings onto the small cabinet next to John’s King-sized bed.
John remains relaxing in his car. Just as he dozes off, his iPhone goes off again. He unlocks his phone, and opens up his text messages. An unknown number had texted him.
He read, “Are you ready to get your XXXX sucked?”.
John squints his eyes.
“Who is this?”, he replied, thinking it was a joke text from either Jeff or James, notorious for their pranks, and their aspirations to hook John up with a girl who in their words, was “hotter” than Becky. John received no response. He starts the ignition, and begins to drive home.
The figure in John’s bedroom blinks. The figure locks his own iPhone and places it down onto John’s bed side table. He hears the front door open. The figure is revealed, and all a smirking Patrick can do is wait for John to catch him.
