Those seasons had so many explosive personalities, and we haven't had a season like it with so much fighting in years. Even 6 and 8 are good examples. I feel like casting has been playing it much safer recently (since Big Brother 16 at least which had a very family-friendly and inoffensive cast), but overall we've seen a lot more type-casting in recent years than we used to, with a couple of try-hards thrown in here and there (because apparently people like Paul/Zach are the new sources of entertainment for producers). Big Brother 15 was the last explosive season but I feel like the racism that came along with it ruined the likelihood of there ever being a similarly cast season geared toward drama/fighting again. #bb18
these days there are more recruits than ever, so if they start getting more non-recruits who know a thing or two about the game and have unique personalities, then it can get good.
