My name is Frankie and I am currently serving on the planning committee for my university's Relay For Life. A 12 hour mega event that we do each year to raise funds for the American Cancer Society and all the partnerships that the ACS has in regards to cancer research and awareness!
This year, my goal is to raise $1,500.00 going into the event....a number I have never reached before in the 7 years that I have been relaying. Currently standing at $1,030.00, I really need your help Tengaged like I have had in the past with you all.
Some ways these funds are used are to provide Hope Lodging for those who need an affordable place to live while on the road to recovery, hiring drivers that can take cancer patients to and from their doctor's appointments at no cost to the patient, providing beauty classes for those with breast cancer to boost their confidence up after remission and funding research to find a cure.
I know I may not be liked by many or even known any more by many on Tengaged, but I firmly believe there is a lot of people on Tengaged who could make a difference and would be willing to make a donation. Any donation matters and all of them go to good use.
In order to "incentivize" this campaign, I have had some very generous users who are willing to do gift giveaways to those who donate to the cause.
Although I do not believe there needs to be incentives for such a good cause, I know that they can only help.
Giveaway Rules:
For every $5 someone donates, they will be entered into the giveaway drawings. The giveaway will be done via random.org after the end of the two week period. So that means from today, March 13th to March 27th will be when this giveaway is going from. So potentially, lets say sjsoccer88 really wanted to give the money he would use to buy two starbucks drinks, $10 to the Relay For Life link down below. This would mean his name would be entered in twice to the giveaway.
If you donate and want to enter someone into the drawing, simply let me know and I can enter their name in instead of yours.
Tengaged, putting the person that is asking aside....think about all the people you know have been effected by cancer and how shitty that feeling truly is.If we skipped that one day at Starbucks, or did not buy Ts for one week that money could potentially be the money used to fund a cure for cancer.
