About a year ago, my life changed. I had applied and been accepted to the Disney College Program (DCP) for Fall Advantage (May/June- January) for Quick Service Food and Beverage. I accepted my offer and decided to start my adventure May 19th of 2014, 9 days after I had finished my semester at school. Upon Arrival I met my new Roommates whom I would share the adventure with. Spread all over the United States (Texas,Georgia,California, Illinois and New York) We all instantly needed to learn about one another. We became friends with the girls upstairs that day and are culture was diverse again (California, Puerto Rico, Illinois)
I found out I would be working at Peco's Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Disney's Magic Kingdom.I was nervous at first but quickly adapted. After learning what I needed to learn I instantly got into the swing of things and became well known for Celebrations in the restaurant. I worked every single day, usually closed. Making friends each and every day. Making friends on the program was extremely easy as we all start with that initial bond of having to apply and be accepted in a competitive process. (Less then 20% are accepted) We united and became like a family, always helping one another with problems when ever they arose. Some of us were from all over the world so we immediately helped them learn what they needed. The work was tedious but well worth the memories. Now I can go anywhere in the world and have a friend be there to guide me.
