Episode 5: Tears Have Been Shed

Day 7 (Tagi Camp):

Everyone wakes up in the morning eager to get to know Helen.  The most eager one was Jack.  By lunchtime, Jack has gotten to know her and her friends on Pagong.

Jack (Conf.): “Helen's cool.  Plus she will need connections to stay alive here and I can make sure of that.”
Helen (Conf.): “Jack's a really swell guy.  Although everyone else here doesn't seem to like him except for Vadi.  Wonder why.”

Steve volunteered to go catch fish for his tribe.  He came back with 7 fish in his arms.  Everyone's negative opinion of him vanished.  Lewis was very upset because Matt, his only true ally, got team switched.

Lewis (Conf.): “They're all out to get me.  First Vim gets voted out, then Jack betrays us, then Matt gets switched over and is replaced by the useless Helen.  Can this game get any worse for me?”

Realizing that he had to do something, Lewis approached Steve and Vadi.

Lewis: “Alright you two.  I've taken in account all of your efforts and I believe we would be a strong three.”
Steve: “Oh my god!  You're talking game with me!  No one has even spoken a word of game to me!”
Lewis: “Um....yeah.  You in Vadi?”
Vadi: “Three won't be enough.  We need one more.”
Steve: “She's right.”
Lewis: “Alright, which of these wimps do we want?”
Vadi: “Wimps?  I'm not sure.”
Steve: “What if we examine everyone's performance in the reward challenge to determine who would be the best bet?”
Vadi: “Sounds good.”
Lewis: “Alright then.”

Vadi (Conf.): “I really wanted them to ask Jack but I'm not too sure he'd accept.  Plus, he's been hanging around with the new girl a lot.”
Lewis (Conf.): “This new alliance had better work.  If not, then I'll be sure that the traitors pay.”
Steve (Conf.): “I'm apart of something!  Hooray!”

Day 7 (Pagong Camp):

Everyone is up and about.  Spirits seem to be high for the entire tribe.  Matt has been working hard to make sure his tribe likes him, and he's succeeding.  Almost everyone on Pagong likes him.

Paul (Conf.): “Matt totally came into our camp and wooed everyone into liking him.  Everyone except for me.  I know exactly what he's up to and I plan to stop him.”
Matt (Conf.): “Everyone on this tribe seems really cool!  Although I have gotten a pretty negative vibe from Paul.  Maybe he and I just don't click.”

Dawn has been very happy since Courtney has left the game.  She decided to call over Matt, Paul, and Kyle for a pep talk.

Dawn: “I'm soooo happy!”
Matt: “I'm guessing Courtney was a....well...”
Paul: “Yes Matt.  She was a complete bitch.  But you wouldn't know that would you.”
Matt: “Nope.  I probably wouldn't.”
Kyle: “Alright enough friendly chat, time for strategy.”
Dawn: “What do you have in mind?”
Kyle: “Well Kiki seems like the obvious choice here, but Brittany has been sort of sliding.  I don't think letting the blonde girl over to the merge would be the right move.  Plus, I'd feel that Tagi would like Brittany more than Kiki.”
Matt: “Kiki's nice though.  Nicer than Brittany in my opinion.”
Paul: “You must be joking Matt.  Kiki sided with the slut.”
Matt: “Who?  Courtney?  I'm sure she was just nervous or scared or something.”
Paul: “You wouldn't get it Matt.”
Dawn: “Kiki hasn't been that friendly with us Matthew.  She just hangs by the beach most of the time.”
Matt: “Well give her a chance.  I've talked to her and she seems nice enough.”
Kyle: “See?  Matty here knows what I'm saying.  We should get Brittany next.”
Paul: “But I feel like that'd ruin everything.”
Dawn: “I'm going to have to side with Kyle on this issue.  Brittany would be a better game move.”
Paul: “UGH.  You all don't see ANYTHING.”

Paul storms off.

Kyle: “What's his problem?”
Matt: “I think it's me.”
Dawn: “Why would Paul hate you?”
Matt: “Well we have nothing in common that's for sure.”
Kyle: “Well he'd better not go spoiling anything to either of the two.”

Kiki sits down at the beach pondering at the game.  She begins to talk to herself.

Kiki: “Well....this is it.  No one here likes you and you're going home next.  It was so obvious that Courtney was a horrible person, yet I hung around with her anyways.  I haven't been playing this game at all.  I've been laying here doing nothing...”

She continues to feel depressed for the rest of the day.

Dawn (Conf.): “I feel like Kiki is really really sad.  I should make her feel better.”

Dawn confronts Kiki and they talk for a while.  In the end, Dawn realizes why Kiki did what she did.

Dawn (Conf.): “Kiki's actually a really good person.  She just got stuck in a bad situation.”

Day 7 (Reward Challenge):

Jeff: “Come on in guys!”

Everyone enters

Jeff: “Both tribes getting a new look at the other.  Ignas voted out from Tagi and Courtney voted out from Pagong.”
Lewis: “MATT!  You're okay!”
Matt: “Why wouldn't I be!”
Helen: “You guys did it!”
Dawn: “Yes we did!”
Jeff: “Enough with the chitter chatter.  Time for a reward challenge.  Here's how this is going to work.  All of you will be balancing on your tribe's platform.  The platforms are very VERY wobbly so don't expect it to be easy.  Last tribe with people standing on their platform will win this fishing kit.”

Jeff reveals a big kit filled with nets, goggles, snorkels, and a harpoon.

Steve: “Oh my.  This would be very helpful.”
Jeff: “Tagi, you have to sit someone out, who's it going to be?”
Vadi: “Steve, you mind?”
Steve: “I guess not...”
Jeff: “Let's get started then.”

Everyone gets on their platforms.

Jeff: “Survivors ready?  Go!”

The water starts raging and the platforms are going everywhere.  Almost everyone starts to lose their balance.  Dawn and Andrew immediately fall off of their platforms and into the water.  Helen falls in right afterwards.

Jeff: “Three people already down.  Pagong has a 1 man advantage.”

Vadi and Lewis topple over into the water, leaving Jack and John for Tagi.  Paul's glasses fall off and he dives into the water to catch them.  Paul's stunt wobbles the Pagong platform, causing Matt to barrel roll off.  Jack sits down, trying to stay up.  Sadly, he simply rolls off.

Jeff: “John is the last man standing for Tagi.  He'd better hang on if they want this nice reward.”

Brittany is unbalancing the Pagong platform by walking around trying to keep balance.

Kyle: “Dang it Brittany, you're going to make us all fall!”

Brittany jumps off.

Brittany: “Sorry Kyle!”
Kyle: “Well I guess that solved that...”

John looks over at Brittany jumping off, her very little distraction is enough to make John fall into the water.

Jeff: “Pagong wins reward!”

Kiki: “Sweet!”
Kyle: “Oh thank god.”
Lewis: “Ah man.”
John: “Sorry guys.  Tried my best.”
Helen: “It's okay hun.”

Jeff: “Tagi, I've got nothing for you.  Head back to camp and I'll see you all later.”

Everyone heads to their respective camps.

Day 7 (Tagi Camp):

Lewis: “Well, back to fishing like men.”
Steve: “Good grief.”
Jack: “Jesus Christ.”
Vadi: “We got to look on the bright side.  It's very sunny outside and I don't think any bad weather will be coming our way any time soon.”
John: “I guess you're right there.”
Vadi: “Check it guys, I'll plan us a beach day.”
Helen: “Sounds lovely!”

Vadi started organizing fun events.  They even managed to play volleyball with a coconut.

Jack: “I gotta say Vadi.  You know how to throw a party.”

Vadi (Conf.): “Everyone totally loves me!”

Vadi calls over Lewis and Steve to discuss their fourth member.

Vadi: “So what did you think of today's challenge?”
Lewis: “Well it's obvious that we should invite John.”
Steve: “But I think he and Andrew are pretty tight.”
Vadi: “He's right.  I think we can temporarily sway John and Andrew our way and kick out either Jack or Helen next.”
Lewis: “Then we can take John and Andrew out right after!”
Steve: “Good talk guys!”

Jack continued to sway Helen to joining him.

Jack: “So Helen, are you working with anyone here?”
Helen: “Not at the moment.  I'm kind of nervous actually.”
Jack: “Well I can help you out.”
Helen: “That'd be great!”

Jack (Conf.): “Like putty in my hands.  Helen, Andrew, John, and Vadi will be working with me and then we can finally get rid of that pesky Lewis.”

John (Conf.): “I still don't trust Jack.  He's a a shady guy.  I hope Andrew and I can convince Vadi to get rid of him soon.”

Day 7 (Pagong Camp):

Everyone has gotten started on a huge fish bonfire.  Matt, Paul, and Kyle left the girls to go
catch all the fish.  The girls are maintaining the fire and preparing rice.  On the fishing trip, Paul once again lashes out at Matt.

Matt: “Alright let's get started!”
Paul: “I'll take the harpoon.”
Kyle: “No offense Paul, but we should give the harpoon to Matt because he's stronger.”
Paul: “I see how it is Kyle.  You're a traitor.”
Kyle: “Wait what...?”
Matt: “Not this again.”
Paul: “You'll never be a Pagong.  You'll always be a Tagi.”
Matt: “Paul, I'm technically a Pagong since I'm on your tribe.”
Paul: “NO.  YOU'RE NOT ONE OF US!”
Kyle: “Paul!  Chill!”
Paul: “Kyle, you fool.  You're falling for his tricks!”
Kyle: “Don't turn into Courtney man!  Come back to earth!”

Paul (Conf.): “I am so sick and tired of Matt.  He just waltzes into our camp and steals everyone away.  But I won't let him do it!  I WON'T!”

Paul pushes Matt and Kyle off the boat and paddles back to camp without them.  Later on, Matt and Kyle finally arrive, exhausted from the long swim back.

Dawn: “Whoa!  What happened!?”
Kyle: “PAUL THREW US OFF THE BOAT!”
Dawn: “WHAT!?”
Matt: “YEAH!”
Dawn: “I cannot believe this!'

Dawn yells for everyone to come over.  Paul sees Matt and Kyle and starts walking away.

Dawn: “PAUL!  Get over here!”

Paul walks over.

Dawn: “How dare you endangered these two!”
Kiki: “What is going on?”
Kyle: “Paul here threw me and Matt overboard!”
Kiki: “Wait what!?”
Dawn: “I cannot believe you Paul!”
Paul: “Just listen to me!  Matt is pure evil!”
Matt: “I have no idea what you're talking about.”
Paul: “UGH.  LEAVE ME ALONE!”

Paul runs into the wild.

Brittany: “What just happened...?”
Kyle: “She's back.”
Dawn: “But she's gone!”
Kyle: “It just seems as if she got to him somehow.”
Matt: “Wait, you mean Courtney?”
Kiki: “Yes.  Paul has.......”

Everyone separates and there's silence for the rest of the day.

Day 8 (Immunity Challenge):

Jeff: “Come on in guys!”

Everyone enters.  The Tagi tribe is happy and the Pagong tribe is torn apart.

Jeff: “Let's get right to it.  For today's challenge, you'll all have to shoot this ball into this hoop.  However, you must do this in the water.  So essentially, we're playing rough water polo.  3 on 3.  Tackling is allowed.  First tribe to three points wins.  Tagi, who's sitting out?  It cannot be Steve again.”
Helen: “I'll sit out.”
Jeff: “Then let's get prepared.”

Everyone prepares.

Jeff: “For Tagi, we have Steve, Jack, and Lewis.  For Pagong we have Brittany, Paul, and Kyle.  Survivors ready?  Go!”

Everyone makes a mad dash for the center.  Jack nabs the ball quickly.  Kyle snatches it out of his hands and runs for his basket.  Steve knocks into Kyle causing both of them to fall.  Lewis picks up the ball.  Lewis is blocked by Brittany.  He passes it to Steve who takes the shot.  He scores.

Jeff: “Steve gives Tagi their first point!”
Lewis: “Nice work!”
Steve: “Thanks.”

Jeff: “Round 2.  Andrew, John, and Vadi for Tagi.  Matt, Dawn, and Kiki for Pagong.  Survivors ready?  Go!”

Matt pushes Andrew right out of the way allowing him to grab the ball.  He passes the ball to Dawn who takes the shot.  The shot is intercepted by John.  He passes it to Andrew who runs it down the field.  Andrew has a clear shot, he shoots.  It rebounds off the rim.  Vadi catches it and re-shoots.  Vadi scores another point for Tagi.

Jeff: “Vadi giving Tagi another point!”
Paul: “GRRRR.  Matt screwed it up for us!”
Kyle: “Except he's the one who didn't mess up...”
Paul: “Shut up!”
Jeff: “Round three!  Tagi only needs this point to secure immunity.  For Tagi, we have Jack, Lewis, and Andrew going again.  For Pagong, we have the exact same team as last round, Kiki, Matt, and Dawn.  Survivors ready?  Go!”

Matt knocks Jack out of the way and grabs the ball.  Lewis tackles Matt, causing a fumble.  Kiki manages to recover it, taking a shot for Pagong.  It flies through the goal.

Jeff: “Kiki not giving up, giving Pagong their first point.”
Paul: “At least someone does something.”
Jeff: “Fourth round.  For Tagi we have John, Steve, and Vadi.  For Pagong we have Paul, Kyle, and Brittany.  Survivors ready?  Go!”

Paul releases his anger and nabs the ball.  He rushes through but runs head first into Vadi.  They collide and both take a hit to the head.  Vadi starts wobbling in every direction while Paul falls to the ground.  John makes the recovery and fakes a pass to Vadi who is still walking the wrong way.  The fake gives him time to make a shot.  However, he misses.  Brittany catches the rebound but is tackled by Vadi who finally recovered.  Kyle takes the ball and runs it to the goal and tries a shot.  Vadi intercepts the ball and runs it back.  Vadi passes it to John who passes it to Steve who makes the shot.

Jeff: “Tagi wins immunity!”

Jack: “Steve you did it!”
Steve: “I did it!  I actually did it!”
Jeff: “Congratulations Tagi, no tribal council for you.  Pagong, you've got a date with Tribal Council.  See you soon.”
Paul: “Whoa.  That was one blow to the head.”
Dawn: “Not like you'd care Paul.”
Paul: “What are you talking about?”
Matt: “I'm seriously confused...”
Jeff: “See you later.”

Everyone heads back to camp.

Day 8 (Tagi Camp):

Jack: “Good job Steve!”
Vadi: “You really pulled through for us this time around!”
Steve: “I guess I just needed the right challenge to prove myself.”
Helen: “Well done hun.”

Steve (Conf.): “I feel so good!  I think everyone will respect me a lot more now!”
Jack (Conf.): “Kissing up to a wimp who didn't make a mistake is an easy way to get on his good side.”
Helen (Conf.): “I hope the merge comes soon.  I'm tired of being on a tribe with all men.”

Day 8 (Pagong Camp):

Paul is rubbing his head.  He walks over to Matt.

Paul: “Hey Matt.  What exactly happened to me?”
Matt: “Well you almost killed me and Kyle.”
Paul: “Wait what!?  WHEN!?”
Matt: “Yesterday.  When did you stop being mean?”
Paul: “I'm totally confused.”

Paul (Conf.): “Everyone's been saying that I've been a jerk.  But the yesterday was a complete blank for me.”

Dawn: “I think Paul's trying to trick us into keeping him.  The way he's acted has been just horrible.”
Brittany: “Actually, I think that hit to the head fixed him.”
Dawn: “Hit to the head?”
Kyle: “.....?”
Brittany: “He ran right into Vadi during the challenge and they bumped heads.”
Kyle: “So he must have hit his head earlier!”
Dawn: “Now it all makes sense!”

Dawn gets Matt, Kyle, and Paul together.

Dawn: “So we have to decide now.  Kiki or Brittany?”
Kyle: “I honestly don't know.”
Paul: “Matt, what do you think?”
Matt: “Brittany in my opinion.”
Dawn: “Everyone okay with this?”
Paul: “Crystal clear!”

Kiki continues to worry about her position in the game.

Kiki (Conf.): “I just know I'm going out.  I know it.  Curse Courtney and her ways.”

Day 8 (Tribal Council):

Jeff: “Come on in guys.”

The Pagong tribe enters.

Jeff: “Kiki, do you feel that some tried very hard in the challenge and some didn't?”
Kiki: “Matt certainly pulled his weight.  I scored a goal which I assume doesn't leave me on the edge.  Dawn didn't do much.”
Dawn: “Sorry....”
Jeff: “Brittany, do you think this happy tribe is going to sink?”
Brittany: “Well now that Courtney is gone and Paul is fixed, it should stay happy.  It's too bad that this is going to be the end for someone.”
Jeff: “Matt, anyone hostile towards you being a new Pagong member?”
Matt: “Paul was but now that he's better, everything is alright.”
Paul: “Yeah man.”
Jeff: “And with that, it's time to vote.  It's fair game all across the board.  Kiki, you're up.”

Everyone goes to vote.

Kiki: *writes down Dawn*  “I'm not really sure what to do...”
Brittany: *writes down Kiki*  “Sorry but it's best for me if you leave asap.”
Matt: *writes down a name*  “Here we go.”

Everyone sits down awaiting the results.

Jeff: “I'll tally the votes.”

Jeff grabs the urn and takes it to his podium.

Jeff: “If anyone has the hidden immunity idol and they'd like to play it, now would be the time to do so.”

No one stands.

Jeff: “Once the votes have been read the decision is final, person voted out must leave the tribal area immediately.  I'll read the votes.”

Jeff grabs the cards out of the urn.

Jeff: “First vote, Dawn.”
Jeff: “Second vote, Kiki.”
Jeff: “Third vote, Brittany.”

Brittany starts to count her fingers, confused at the vote.

Jeff: “Fourth vote, Brittany.”
Jeff: “Fifth person voted out of Survivor Borneo, Brittany, that's five and that's enough.  Bring me your torch.”

Brittany starts to sob as she grabs her torch.  Dawn starts to tear up.  Kiki stares at Jeff like a miracle has just occurred.

Jeff: “Brittany, the tribe has spoken.”  *snuffs torch*  “Time for you to go.”

Brittany wipes the tears from her eyes as she walks off into the distance.

Jeff: “That truly was an emotional tribal council.  We'll see if this can help you out with your immunity problem.  Grab your torches and head back to camp.  Goodnight.”

Everyone grabs their torches.  Kyle comforts Dawn who is still tearing up on the way back.
