What if everyone you came across had a number, from 1-10, above their heads that denoted how attracted they were to you?
Of course it's only applicable to the opposite gender or gays, but it'd still be interesting.
The main reason we don't just go up to people and try to make something work between us is because it's really hard to read whether people are attracted to you or not. It'd make that a hell of a lot easier.
