Ouch... well you can either explain that to them and bring your own document of your test... You should both have separate laptops or something for school work.
This is what you're going to hear- " SHADOWBALLER000 IS A HORRIBLE PERSON. HE IS PURE EVIL AND SATANIC BECAUSE HE MADE AN ERROR. EVERYONE SPRAY GASOLINE IN HIS GENERAL DIRECTION"
seriously if you cheat once it's not like you killed someone. This politically correct "academic dishonesty" is so fucking overblown. I never cheat but my brother did and I would prefer that he didn't get lynched for it.
YEAH USUALLY WHEN THEY CALL FOR A MEETING, UR PROBS GETTING KICKED OUT WITHOUT GETTING ANY OF UR MONEY AND ITS GONNA LOOK BAD ON UR RECORD, SO .. ITS A RISK BUT U COULD DROP ALL OF UR CLASSES AND DROP OUT SO IT DOESNT STAY ON UR RECORD OKay
Shadowballer000 I'm sure the meeting will give you the opportunity to state your case.
I'm lucky my sister and I have always studied different things even though we went to the same things, but I am always super paranoid about assignments and applying for jobs. XD
Things like this teach you a lesson, because you always have a moment to confirm before you submit. Hope it works out well for you both.
GayJohnny On my course, there was a group of around 20 people who all used Yahoo Answers for their assignments. And they all got away with it.
I kept thinking that maybe, just maybe, the lecturers would Google their own question, see it posted word for word on Yahoo and notice how the usernames were very similar to names of students on their course. But no! They deserved a lynching, but I never turned them in (my friends were friends with them, and that group tried to use my answers before, hence my disliking) xD
But 2 girls copied each other and they were caught, and neither were in the lecture when the lecturer announced it. XD They just had to both answer a question in exam circumstances to show which one did the maths (gotta love mathematical plagiarism).
I understand the strictness about it but it does suck when it was unintentional. :(
Shadowballer000 - I agree with Yoshitomi. You should be able to straighten this out, just print off the copies of both of your tests and show them that it was just a mistake. :)
Do you have separate laptops that you can use in the future? :)
On my course GayJohnny people were routinely copying and pasting from Wikipedia. :p The whole of my cohort was called into a meeting and the Dean was like 'If you're going to copy, why would you choose a website that can be edited by any Tom, Dick or Harry.' :p
If you used the same one then I suggest you make it clear that both of the essays he received then are EXACTLY THE SAME. If he submitted his essay, and you submitted his essay, both of the files should have no differences at all. Hopefully they'll understand everything GL
