Donaam bought me a shirt that says "this girl loves her boyfriend" a few years ago that I couldn't really fit without it looking awful. I put it on a few months ago and it fit me, kinda loosely. It was such a good feeling. I'd lose more weight if I cut out soda/energy drinks and ate healthy, but honestly I like my lifestyle and I'm slowly but surely building more and more confidence.
Having a job where you have to consistently deal with all kinds of emotions and attitudes from various random people really has made me learn to laugh it off and not be so emotional, but if I have to be emotional, to do it on my own time in private so people don't see it and try to take advantage of it.
I'm actually for the first time in my life at the point in my life where i'm okay with my appearance. Makeup does wonders for my confidence combined with my job, and I feel like i'm growing into my own skin more and more each day, getting comfortable with myself and learning myself.
Anyway sorry, this is random, but I just wanted to write it out. :P
By the way, I've never felt healthier and happier after a lifestyle change that when I cut out soda and energy drinks for coffee and water. I know it seems severe at first but it really does become easy. Water has become my favorite thing on the planet when I absolutely hated it up until I was 13, but honestly coming from someone who used to drink nothing but coke and mountain dew - I have never missed them after making this change.
bigupboy yeah I did the same and lost 50 pounds (became underweight) after stopping soda and energy drinks. Sugar is the main thing that makes you fat.
bigupboy really? that's interesting. I've always drank soda since I could ever remember. I tried cutting it out once and suffered the WORST migraines and im already prone to headaches. So that's the only tough thing in cutting them out. :/
i had to cut all sugar out of my diet for like 2 weeks cuz of stomach issues and i lost 7 pounds. apparently sugar is like 10x more addictive than cocaine.
That's how they get ya ShayyBayy
There's a lot of ingredients in soda (specifically high fructose corn syrup) that is designed to have this effect on the brain when you go without them, especially worse if you're already prone to migranes. I suggest making the change slowly if you plan to, start with a glass of water in the morning at night with 1-2 sodas during the day, drink coffee with sugar and take trustworthy migraine meds if you need them. I'm lucky that it was easy for me but I know it can be more difficult than quitting cigarettes for some people!
