Question for any Brits online right now

Is the driver's test in the UK to get a license like really hard? My friend's mom is from Britain and I remember her saying how it's a longer process than in the US, my Driver's Test was legit 5 minutes long.

I'm learning to drive atm, and when you do your test it takes around 20 - 30 minutes from what I've heard

I haven't learnt to drive, but all my friends who have passed on their first try so I guess it's not that hard?

You have to take ateast like 30-40 lessons before you can do ur test i think. And no not really the whole test lasts like 40 mins from what i heard

yeh the drivers test is around 30-35 mins. Before that u need to sit a theory test

I heard they take like 45 minutes and you have different stages of a license before you get the real one.

and how tf was yours 5 minutes? Did you have a lazy instructor that was like "okay I want to end this quick, drive down the street and turn back!"

Timster ok maybe it was a bit longer than 5 minutes but i literally drove down the street turned right then left parallel parked and drove back.
