PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The jury got to speak with Nemo and Jessie. First up was Merida, who prided Jessie on representing the red locks in the finale, but said that she was going to give her vote to the person who was most loyal to her, and that Nemo may have played under the radar, but was still loyal throughout the entire game. Buzz was next, and said that he couldn’t even consider voting for Nemo, because he basically let himself be dragged through the whole game, and that Jessie had to fight hard to get where she was, trying to plea for the jury to give her the win. Lightning was next, and asked Nemo how he outplayed Jessie, and Nemo said that Jessie was always had to struggle throughout the game to stay alive, but he sailed through easily because he made good relationships and had a strong alliance. Lightning applauded Nemo’s age and ability to make it to the end, but said that Nemo didn’t make enough risks to be a winner, and Jessie had to fight, instead of being a goat. Eve went up and recited a poem she had written, saying “Jessie’s hair is red, Nemo’s ocean is blue, the winner is deserving, loyal through and through.” Next was Joy, who said that she knew who she was voting for and just wanted to congratulate both Nemo and Jessie on their accomplishment. Mater then told Jessie that she killed it in the challenges, and was a good friend, and was just as loyal as Nemo was. Flik was next, and had lots to say. Flik criticized Nemo for making no moves whatsoever, and just going with the flow. “It works in the ocean, but not in this game,” he said. He then proceeded to tell Jessie that she lost the game when she voted him out, because he would have honored the alliance with her and Mike, and instead, she let someone incredibly likable get to the end, over two people who most people felt betrayed by. He said that she made a mistake not taking him and Mike further. “As much as he didn’t play a good game, he’s insanely likable, so taking him to the end was the worst move you could make, Jessie,” as he went back to his seat. Dory was next and decided to just say “Congrats Nemo,” obvious who she was voting for. Mike was next, and said that he was hurt by Jessie, and that no one would ever be able to beat a young, cute, adorable, sweet little kid like Nemo. “Why you would choose an adorable little fish over an annoying monster to sit next to you in the final baffles me,” Mike said. Jessie responded, saying that she thought people would vote based on gameplay, but Mike snapped back, “the only votes up for grabs were mine and Flik’s. Everyone else is going to vote on who their alliances were! So bringing Nemo, who has a lot of alliance members is basically giving away any shot you had.” Jessie realized then and there that she may have messed up in taking Nemo to the finals.
