PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Seeing as how Eugene backstabbed Rosita, Rosita was now conflicted on whether or not she should go after Eugene or Negan next, and decided to leave it up to Tara and Gabriel. Gabriel said that the longer Negan was in the game, the less of a target anyone else had, and Eugene could slip into making bonds with people like Abraham or Glenn, and so they should get rid of him if they had the chance. At the immunity challenge, a big twist was thrown at the contestants. Each team would go to tribal council and vote off a member, and there would be someone safe from each tribe. The immunity, however, would be decided at random, for whoever selected the pink buff from a barrel of buffs. The OGS went first, and Carol chose the pink buff and was safe. Tara got it for the New Faces tribe, and Abraham got it for the Dead tribe. It was then announced that no teams would have deliberation, and they’d have to vote on the spot without conversation. The Dead had to go first, and Glenn was worried that he’d be the one going home, but had trusted that Beth had done a good job in convincing Sasha and Abraham to keep him in. Glenn got the first vote, and was scared, but the next four votes came in for Shane, relieving Glenn, and sending Shane off of the island. Next was the New Faces tribe, who had already decided that Eugene was a bigger threat than Negan was. Negan was shocked when it wasn’t him, and while Rosita received two votes, Eugene received the other three and was sent off the island. Lastly was the OGs. Rick voted for Maggie for being weaker, Daryl and Maggie voted for Morgan, and Morgan and Carol voted for Rick. It was a tie between Rick and Morgan, with Daryl, Maggie and Carol revoting. In the end, Maggie decided to change her vote because Rick put her name down, and Rick was then sent out 2-1, incredibly blindsided by Maggie. Rick was heartbroken, and saw his game crumble in front of him. However, he was not asked to leave the island. Instead, Shane and Eugene were brought out again, and it was announced that one of them would be involved in a game changing twist.
