Remind Me Not To Help Charities Anymore

20thMar 26, 2014 by Tailslover13
Why? Because people are ungrateful liars. Me and two other people started a Frookies, and someone decided to ask me if he could make it his gold level charity. I said sure, but only if he promised me a final five or a jury spot. If you're going to ask for something like that, at least offer something in return, no matter how trivial. You can't just be a doormat. The person agreed to give me a final five or a jury spot. Well, what happened? I was lied to, of course. So, yeah, a word of advice to everyone out there: do NOT help with charities, because your kindness is usually spat right back into your face. Also don't give up your game for anyone, either, because they won't bother to keep their word or help you at all. Apparently charities are all about the person who wants it, and not about those who help them out. People are so ungrateful.

you expect too much

Savcodushe No, I expect people to actually keep their word. This wasn't even a 'real' game. It was a freaking charity. And the person couldn't even have the decency to keep their word to someone who was willing to give up the game and help them out. It's just dirty.

tailslover13 the one person that promised you that didn't even nominate you (and probably didn't evict you). you can't expect the charity holder to control everyone's actions all the time.
Sent by maxiphone27,Mar 26, 2014
Maxiphone27 Then he sucks as a charity holder. When I had mine, I immediately made sure to talk to every single person and ask them what I wanted to have done and what I would like them to do. And, the result? It was a perfect charity. If I was having a Frookies charity again, I would immediately PM everyone and inform them the promise I made so that they would know. Not telling them is just lazy and selfish.

tailslover13 first of all that's ridiculous

and second of all you are REFUSING to help any charities ever based on one bad experience? um ok
Sent by maxiphone27,Mar 26, 2014
Maxiphone27 How is that ridiculous? That's being on top of things and actually caring about what you're doing. If you're going to do a charity, do it RIGHT. And, yes, I'm refusing to help out any more charities. I've been involved with four of them (one of which wasn't really a charity but two people claimed it was and told me off for ruining it when I didn't), and all of them were not enjoyable experiences. The first one was my own, and a lot of people I didn't even know showed up, and half of them never spoke, so it was very unsettling and boring. The second one was the one I just talked about. The third one involved a ton of assholes joining and harassing me for no reason, including one very selfish person who kept spamming like crazy to ruin the charity holder's chances. And the one tonight was also horrible because the charity person is a liar. So, yeah, I'm done being nice.

I say don't ask for anything in my oppinion I join donosaurus_rex charity game by accidentally and I didn't ask for anything and I was expecting 13/12 since I didn't knew him and most likely everyone else that join he knew and he had first hoh but I made it to f5 un-nommed and got a new friend out of that
Sent by sarahsummer7,Mar 26, 2014
Sarahsummer7 That's you, though. Not everyone can get as lucky as that. Especially when everyone else that joins is an in fact a friend of the charity fool's and you have little to no chance with any of them.

sarahsummer7 ahhh thanks you're great lol

honestly I'm going to play devils advocate kinda.

so if you are in a frookies and they politely ask you to give it up so they can have it and you just simply ask for money back or even just jury i think its reasonable. from joining many charities i doth expect to much from them, if i go far i go far if i don't i don't i don't really mind that.  but yea if they promised they should of tried and kept it, now we don't know the whole story cause we don't even know if he told everyone or just was like fuck it I'm not telling anyone.

also you don't know if he promised others a final 5 spot or whatever.

but if you do give up a charity you should at least make jury,  don't think thats pushing it.

Sure
>Only if you promise me a final five or a jury spot. I don't want to give up a game and then just get ousted quickly. I'm nice, but not a doormat.

So, it was a final ten, and some rude girl (if it's even a girl) nominated me simply because I "didn't get her name right". This was Saraj10. Then, the guy named Temponeptune got POV, and he said he would use it on me. But, he didn't:

im not voting for u but the renom wouldve been a really good friend of mine, sorry.
anyways its a charity so i didnt think itd matter too much

um keep me safe please i at least want payout

I was voted out 4-3. So, excluding the rude HOH "girl", that means there were four others who didn't get the memo that Baza was supposed to have a deal with me, which means he really was lazy and didn't tell anyone at all. Which means he's a dirty person who lied to me about the deal in the first place and just used me for a game so he could have his charity. That is wrong. And, as you can tell, the person who had POV didn't use it when he could've...and his lame excuse was that a "friend" of his would be put up instead...when there was, like, six other people to choose from! So, yeah, I rest my case.
