After the shocking switch to three teams of four instead of the merge, everyone then began to speculate if the merge would happen at the final ten instead and be a jury of seven, which would be the first time since season 1. After yet another disappointing loss for the 301+ Tribe, emotions were starting to rise and tempers were beginning to flare. Right after the loss, Anthony angrily tore up half the camp in a fit of rage, mainly upset at himself due to losing so much and having to continue voting people out. Rebecca attempted to calm him down, while Felix and Matthew had a heart-to-heart conversation on what to do next to avoid having one of them leave and thus be gang up on by Anthony and Rebecca. During the chaos, it was revealed that Matthew once again got the Subscriber Idol, and this time he began to devise a plan on how to correctly use it.
Since it was in the rules that the person with the Subscriber Idol had to reveal it to the entire tribe and then announce at the START of tribal council what they would use it for, Matthew put his plan into action. First, Matthew announced to Anthony, Felix and Rebecca that he would be using the idol to give them an advantage in the next immunity challenge, to prevent them from having to lose anyone else after tonight. Following that, Felix went and told Anthony and Rebecca that he would love to blindside Matthew tonight because he wasn't going to use the idol to protect himself. Since Anthony and Rebecca were not going to vote for one another anyway, hearing Felix apparently wanting to make a move was music to their ears. Little did they realize that this was part of Matthew's plan.
At tribal council, just before Matthew made his idol decision announcement, Felix interrupted him and called him out for being a deceitful asshole and making up a lot of stories that never happened on their former tribe. Matthew angrily told Felix off in return and called him a backstabber, and then announced that he would be using his idol as a hidden immunity idol on himself tonight due to this betrayal. While the host just watched and said nothing, Felix pointed out the "rule" that prevented Matthew from changing his mind about the idol. Felix explained that, back in camp, Matthew had said he would use the idol for an advantage in the next challenge, and that counted as a announced decision on the idol and could not be changed, even at the start of tribal. Matthew, "acknowledging" the rule, immediately apologized to Felix and tried to convince the tribe that they should keep him because he was their strongest member and it was important going into the merge without losing yet another player. When it came time to the votes, the final act of the plan went into action. Felix voted against Matthew, as per his wishes to make it seem like Felix really was against Matthew, and Anthony and Rebecca both ignored Matthew's pleas and figured that the rule was actually true. This made three votes against Matthew. However, when he stepped up and used his idol as a hidden immunity idol, it was allowed and then announced that no such rule was in place. All three votes for Matthew were voided, and Matthew's lone vote for Anthony sent the Smosh superstar packing in a 1-0 vote.

After the huge, shocking tribal council where Felix and Matthew both successfully played Anthony and Rebecca, it was pretty much made clear that the merge would be at 10 and so would the jury. Everyone gave it their all in the final tribe challenge. As per usual, the dominating Subscribe Tribe came out on top with a clean first place finish. However, after many tries and fails, the 301+ Tribe FINALLY comes through and gets second place, sending the tribe of females to their first tribal council.
VOTE TO GIVE THE SUBSCRIBER IDOL TO SOMEONE ON THE GOOGLE PLUS TRIBE, BUT ALSO VOTE OUT SOMEONE FROM THE VERY SAME TRIBE! YOU CANNOT VOTE THE SAME PERSON ON BOTH!
