Knowing, or rather HOPING the merge was at 10 players, the two winning teams both began to prepare and discuss strategy of what to do once they got there. With the Subscribe Tribe, good buddies Doug and James planned on sticking together, and asked Buckley and Phil if they wanted to create a final four pact. Phil was all for it, but Buckley was hesitant because everyone loved Doug and James and they had a lot more influence over the game than a jackass critic like him. Eventually Buckley did agree after reassurance from the other three that they would be loyal, but he said privately that he would keep his options open to make sure he made the end. On the 301+ Tribe, being thrilled to not have to go through another tribal council for once, Felix put on a stupid performance where he mostly was left screaming like a lunatic and making a pretend YouTube video on the spot. Neither Matthew nor Rebecca found it amusing, and together the two genius minds put together a top 10 list of theories on why Felix was so unfunny yet everyone loved him. This cracked them both up, but left Felix whining in a confessional to his "Bro Army" to punish the non-believers and non-worshipers of his channel and greatness.
With the losing Google Plus Tribe, Jenna and Justine weren't too upset about it, especially when Justine was given the subscriber idol. Since they were good friends and trusted one another 100%, Justine planned on using her idol to make her vote count as two, just in case Megan and Natalie tried to pair up and tie the vote against one of them. Jenna and Justine both discussed who to vote out between the two, taking into account which one they felt would remain more loyal going forward to them and would also not be that big a threat to win individual immunities. At the same time, Megan and Natalie both began to put two and two together, and realized that they were getting played. Realizing that Justine was going to make her vote count as two and that they were as good as dead, they knew they had no choice but to campaign against the other to stay alive.
At tribal council, Justine revealed her intention to make her vote count as two, and also said that Jenna was her good friend and they would be voting together. This made Megan and Natalie both once more try and convince the two powerful YouTube girls to keep them over the other. Megan even said she'd write a song for Jenna and Justine if they kept her. Natalie said she would make a video blog about how awesome Jenna and Justine were. Neither offer really tempted the two girls in charger to keep either Megan or Natalie, since they didn't really offer anything game-related. When it came to the vote, Megan and Natalie both voted against the other, but both Jenna and Justine ultimately decided to vote off Natalie, since she seemed to be a bit more of physical and strategic threat. Along with her idol, Natalie was voted out 4-1.

At long last, the merge hit, with the final ten players all making the jury and proving to be the best of the best YouTube TDSC players. At least from those that were chosen. At the first individual immunity challenge, James showcased all the moves he had to perform while finishing "Angry Video Game Nerd, The Movie" and wound up stealing the first victory.
