The Moderation staff has listened to your comments and we have decided to change our approach to moderating this site a bit. We understand that this is a reality TV game site, and with that comes DRAMA - which is part of the fun! We also, however, hope that you all understand that this is a multi-age site, and we need to be aware of that as we determine how to moderate the site.
With that in mind, we'd like to talk about some changes we're making to try to strike that balance, but keep things fun. This new approach is a work in progress, so if you think something should be changed, let us know what and why. We'll definitely take it into consideration (as long as you're polite about it - we'll respect you if you respect us).
ALSO, before we get into the details, please note that THESE CHANGES GO INTO EFFECT AS OF NOW and NO PREVIOUS PUNISHMENTS WILL BE CHANGED. Rules were still disobeyed, and in some cases older punishments may be more severe; in some cases newer ones may be.
Basically, our new approach is meant to give more freedom and a lot less bans. However, there will still be consequences for negative behaviors. In exchange for the decrease in bans, there may be more users receiving rednoses and being blacklisted. Please read our new rules carefully at http://www.tengaged.com/user/tengaged_moderation .
In regard to harassment... there have been simply too many users "trying to get each other banned" for game purposes. We will be looking much more carefully at these offenses and if they're minor, we will simply suggest that you attempt to solve your own problems. We're here to keep the site safe and prevent bullying... but not be your parents!
However, if you feel like you are in danger, if you're being threatened or harassed based on your race or sexuality, these still will NOT be tolerated on Tengaged. But, we've also loosened up our rules on certain language.
So, in short, please review the new rules on our profile and use this blog to ask questions/make comments! We really do appreciate your help with this!
Thank you,
~TM
FAQ -
"what is blacklist?"
Being blacklisted on Tengaged means that your blogs will only appear on your personal account. They will not appear on the blogs page. Also, links in these blogs are deactivated.
i'm just gonna say #1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 need to be loosened up.. a lot.

I think part of the loosening up is going to be our approach to the rules. For example, "smoking a fag" will no longer be banworthy. Neither will be telling someone they're ugly, etc.
can the r word be used now ?

We're not encouraging it, but it has to be directed at another person and we'll look at the context. I'm not going to say "yes, use it," obviously, especially if you've been warned for it. But in general it won't be considered severe harassment unless it's used as a major personal attack.
why instead of red nose or ban some user can receive penality as in karma or money ....maybe they will think about it before harasshing people idk just an idea ?
#1 - I feel that I can be called a * negative Homophobic word* and not really take offense, for one the only reason I would take offense is to get someone banned out of a game or out of spite because I already had previous problems with them. I would not take offense from next near anything on the internet because I am not 12. There for if I don't have a problem with it people should be able to say that to me and not get in trouble. Now, that being said, I know the fact that people might change their mind just to get someone in trouble but I guess what I'm trying to say is unless someone is going crazy on someone and being completely GROSS and Vile with it then I understand banning them. But not for simply calling someone a ........ you know?
, #5, #6, #7, #9(then don't go on tengaged at work??arn't you supposed to be WORKING?), #18
