I am pleased to announce that a range of reforms and changes are coming to Tengaged. There are three main topics of interest that I will address in this blog.
Firstly, I’d like to congratulate and welcome Johneh to the staff as our new Games Coordinator (taking over a vacant position once held by Jubbzy). He will be active in helping set up events, special events, etc. He will also be helping Randomize gather suggestions and feedback on how to improve the site. Kindly direct any suggestions to him; I am sure he will blog soon with what is the best way to do so and expand on what some of his ideas are.
Please note: He will not be moderating in the conventional manner. Do not pester him with reports or complaints over bans. Tengaged_Moderation (hi) will be handling all matters related to bans and the like. He will be happy to assist the site with games and suggestions.
Secondly, after reading mails and hearing about previous moderating over the past few months, it has come to my attention that many standards have fallen to the wayside. As follows, I will be working to undo some of the damage and to improve moderation as a whole. There will most likely be some subtle tweaks to the rules in the coming weeks. You can check our profile for any updates that may come. If you have suggestions for new rules or for current rules to be altered, let us know.
Current changes that will be put into effective immediately following this blog:
You are allowed to blog mails and exchanges with us. I feel that being open and transparent is a step in the right direction. However, you can still be punished for faking/fabricating mails from us. But in general, feel free to post if you feel it warranted. *Note: If you feel there is an issue on our end, kindly try and sort it out with us before running to the blogs page. We are willing to listen to complaints and will try to explain our side/rectify the situation.*
The former ask.fm account linked with Tengaged_Moderation is no longer affiliated with us.
More subtle tweaks will be coming soon, but we wanted to hear some feedback before jumping all the way out into the water.
Finally, if you or someone you know was permanently banned, told your next ban would be permanent, or feel that some punishments you received over the past several months (up to a year) were unfair or unwarranted, please reach out to us here or via email at moderation@tengaged.com. I will be opening an official appeal process and will be willing to listen to your side of the story. I am not promising that every account will be unbanned or that threats of you being permanently banned will be overturned, but I think that many of them will.
Thank you for reading it all if you did. I hope you all have an excellent week and am looking forward to, along with Johneh, helping bring Tengaged back up to former standards.
EDIT: Please note that our replies to reports and mails will probably be slower than usual over the coming days. I'm expecting a lot of questions/appeals and will have to try and handle them all one at a time. Thank you for your patience!
SECOND EDIT: Please note that we are being very diligent with any unbannings. 99% of all Porn bans will be upheld. The only bans being overturned are from ban punishments that were escalated without much warning or for punishments that were definitely unfair and excessive. Any unbanned users are not back at 'square one'. Their ban record stays with them and they have been told that if they abuse the rules they will be quickly returned to perm'd status.
ME! Love this blog! Tengaged_Moderation Keep up the good work :*
Love to hear randomize feeling nostalgic (lol) and possibly starting to pay attention to us again
Excellent and I love the tone of this blog, Tengaged_Moderation! Very friendly, helpful and fair. I have felt a lot of negative energy with moderation in the past and I don't think it represents the team well. :)
Nearly all of overturned perms will be due to them being permed unfairly (mostly recent perms not related to porn, as bans were handed out in excess and overpunished over the past few months when moderation was making questionable decisions and overindulging in power).
Brosky17 Hi, the 1% would be relating to users who were able to prove to me that they were hacked. None have been able to as of yet. Thanks for the concern. :)
