Why do wannabe rappers use

soundcloud? Isn't youtube a better option? You're way more likely to get people to listen if it's from youtube than soundcloud, plus you can get $$$ if you're popular enough, and it's easier to get discovered.

My friends know some musician dudes that recently started a kickstarter to fund an album that they're solely gonna release on cassette tape only.

I know a few people that use soundcloud to listen to music but I don't think its widespread enough to make sense honestly
