discography's. Damn I didn't realize how popular Aaliyah was. She sold WAY more than what Selena sold whom I thought was the more popular one.
NO I'M NOT COMPARING THEM. IK SELENA WAS AT A DISADVANTAGE FOR SINGING IN SPANISH.
I just always imagined Aaliyah being popular in the black community (like Ciara) and not so big world wide but her last album sold 11 million internationally & 2 million in the US compared to Selena's 5 million total.
Aaliyah was huge back in the day, Timster. My sister was a huge fan so I grew up listening to her hits. :)
Selena definitely had some great hits which I recall but I do remember the impact of Aaliyah's passing. She was very famous in the UK at least.
