I don't understand Hunted

Jan 22, 2017 by Timster
So they're using a real detective team to hunt down teams but do they really have access to all seccurity cameras in the country? What about police? If they were dumb enough to drive in their car and police typed in their license plate would they get pulled over for being a fake fujutive for this show? Do they have to travel? They expect you to drive to another city so why not sleep behind a dumpster 20 miles from your house? Lmao. Unless the real government got involved in this show and treated contestants like an armed terrorist it doesn't seem all that it's made out to be. MAYBE ITS FAKE!

Yeah it's mostly real (I watched the UK Version), although obviously some things are staged to "look good on TV." But yes for the most part it's real, especially if they have a 100,000-mile radius

timster i think they are experts that take time off of their jobs and do the reality show and i guess through the process they have access to their own ground teams and some resources in terms of cameras/"search warrants"/phone records (obviously not a real warrant since the contestants are on the show)

there was a message at the end along the lines of "some of the events were recreated as they occurred" or something which reminded me of how almost the entirety of capture was essentially staged/acted out after it happened alol

splozojames50 LMAO wait Capture was re-filmed??????? How do you know?? I do remember thinking it'd be impossible for a camera man to run around with a heavy camera chasing down teams that have been running around all day long in a forest. I wondered if they purposely made teams run slower to the camera could keep up w/ them like I heard on TAR how some teams get fat camera men that refuse to run and cost them the race.

timster yep the same sort of "portions of this have been recreated as they occured" message would pop up after every episode and i remember reading that it was probably the running/capture scenes that were recreated (which makes sense thinking about it). LOL @ the purple girl having to live through being captured twice when she was so emotional during the re-shoot

and yea its well documented that tar racers have to go at a jog-esque pace at all times so the cameras can keep up. (however thinking about it, it probably doesnt slow them down THAT much because they run multiple miles each day so theyd probably just go at a jog pace anyways)

FUN RELATED FACT: Back when there was airport drama on tar, whenever a team asked for two tickets to get on a flight that scene was re-shot because they actually needed three tickets for their camera person
