Crime Scene Cleanup Technician

Job Description:

Are you interested in a career that gives you both the opportunity to help people during times of tragedy and a great answer to the question ‘What do you do for a living?’ If so, Aftermath has the right career for you!

Aftermath Services is the premier provider of trauma cleaning and biohazard remediation. For over 20 years, we have provided professional and compassionate services to families, communities, and businesses after traumatic events. We believe that our customers deserve the highest quality service while being treated with dignity and respect.

We are looking for special people to join our team of over 130 crime scene cleanup professionals across the nation. The ideal person for our team is motivated by helping others and is interested in a different kind of work and lifestyle. If you like to travel, want different experiences, enjoy the camaraderie of a team, can be very flexible with your schedule, and are reliable, compassionate, and most of all, customer-focused, this is the job for you. Our talented and dedicated Technicians help lift the burden of cleanup from those who are grieving after a tragedy like a suicide, homicide, unattended death, or accident.

As a Crime Scene Cleanup Technician, you will be exposed to highly sensitive, emotional, and from time to time, graphic situations. You will be helping families after traumatic situations by cleaning up blood and biological materials, which can range from bodily fluids to excrements to bacteria. The position is physically challenging as you may be required to move or lift objects like furniture to properly remediate the situation. All of our crime scene cleanup professionals are required to wear OSHA compliant personal protective equipment (PPE) during the course of cleanup to minimize exposure and protect against hazards that may cause injury.

We are seeking a Technician who is hardworking, compassionate, and has a strong desire to help families in need. As a Technician, you will be on-call 24/7 so that you can assist families whenever and wherever the need arises. You must also be willing to travel, and depending on the situation, be flexible with multi-day travel. Should that happen, Aftermath will provide all lodging accommodations.

While prior experience in construction, demolition, restoration, carpentry, and comparable industries are desired, it is not required. Aftermath provides comprehensive training and certification on safety and compliance, biohazard cleanup process and procedure, and customer service. We are committed to training our Technicians for success.

The Crime Scene Cleanup Technician position offers a competitive hourly rate ($20/job hour and $10/admin hour) along with other benefits, including overtime and working holiday pay, travel opportunities, continuous training and certification, and health, dental, and life insurance, and 401(k) benefits. The position also offers a great pathway for advancement within the Company. Aftermath strongly believes in career development and has a culture of promoting from within. Our field organization, in particular, provides a unique opportunity for rapid career advancement.
