In the pic i've provided, tell me what square is darker, then put your finger between the two squares and watch what happens.
RoughNightBro it's not, it was created with the same shade, what you're seeing is an illusion. Your mind is telling you that it's darker because of perceived dimensions and light sources that really don't exist, giving you cues that aren't really there.
