PREVIOUSLY on Big Brother, after a brutal double eviction, HOH was as crucial as ever. Hope was able to win the power and nominate two houseguests for eviction. Hope wanted to target Adele and Armanti for being one of the two pairs in the game, something that concerned their allies Candy and Chris. Candy and Chris vowed to have Adele and Armanti's back, as they tried to win the POV and backdoor Sammy. Leslie was able to win the veto and take herself off the block, leaving Hope with an easy decision to put Sammy on the block, which lead to his unanimous eviction. However, the house was surprised when Sammy and the first six evictees returned to the house to fight for a chance to return to the game. Find out which two people will return to the game as one houseguest and who starts of the jury tonight on Big Brother!

JB: Houseguests, it's time for your next HOH competition. Head to the backyard!

Chris: Oh my god!
Adele: What!
James: Hey guys!
Sammy: Remember me?
Lorna: Missed you guys!
Hope: Aw, we are all together again!
JB: Houseguests, your past has come back to haunt you. Now, I have some explaining to do, so here it is. All of you will take part in tonight's HOH competition, except for Hope, the outgoing HOH. For the houseguests, you are competing for HOH, just like normal. For the evictees, you are competing to return. The two evictees who do the best in the competition will return to the game as a PAIR. The rest will be gone for good. The evictees are also eligible for HOH, and if one of them win, the two evictees will return to the game as individuals. Regardless, the evictees that return will be immune from this week's eviction. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes!
JB: Now, to get to the HOH competition. It is the same competition from the first HOH, "Hold on Helga", but now it's "Hold on HELLga." You will wear your lederhosen as you dangle in the air, but we've amped up the stakes, so we've amped up the difficulty. You'll just have to wait and see how difficult this gets. The last two returnees remaining will return to the game and the last person holding on out of everybody will be the new HOH. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes!
JB: OK, let's get you all strapped in and get this competition started.
James (DR): It feels great to be back in the house as I feel I went home too soon. I'm here to prove that I belong here.
Ry (DR): My eviction happened so quickly and I was blindsided. I have unfinished business and I need to come back and finish what I started.
Sammy (DR): These houseguests just evicted me unanimously and I would like nothing more to walk back in, take this HOH, and make them pay.
Leslie: Screw this. I'm out.
Leslie (DR): This twist sucks unless Ry comes back. But she has to be one of the top two among the evictees if she wants to come back. Sammy coming back would be nice but I feel like he'd just be the next evicted. I'm hoping Ry and either Crimson or Lorna come back because I feel like they would stay.
Lorna (DR): It feels great to be back, but once I saw what the competition was, I was very worried because I didn't do so well last time and this is just ten times worse. I was struggling big time.
*Lorna drops*
JB: Lorna is now out. She will not return to the game.
Lorna: Bye guys!
*Ethan drops*
Ethan (DR): I didn't want to win this competition. Hope just won HOH, and I don't want people to associate us both as threats, so yeah, I threw it. Let them waste their time up there.
JB: Ethan is now out. 6 evictees and 6 housemates are still in. Two evictees will return to the game.
*Crimson falls*
JB: And Crimson is out, down to five evictees.
Crimson (DR): It was a lot harder this time around than it was the last time.
James: How you doing Joe?
Joey: I'm kind of stuggling, you?
James: Yeah, I'm doing great. Just hang in there.
James (DR): Last time we played this competition, I threw it. I didn't want a huge target on my back, but now, this is win or go home, so I'm pulling out all the stops.
Joey (DR): James is certainly doing better this time than he was last time. Very interesting. I really want to get back in the game, but I'm struggling just like I did last time.
*Joey drops*
JB: Joey is out, and we are now down to Sammy, Ry, James, and Erik.
Davos (DR): Erik cannot win this, and that's really the only reason why I'm staying up. If Erik wins, I go up. Once Erik drops, I'll drop. I could be up here for hours though.
Erik: Woo! It's good to be back!
Erik (DR): I got backdoored and evicted unanimously. That sucks, but I'm back now and I don't plan on leaving this harness anytime soon.
Adele: How are you Sammy?
Sammy: Doing great princess. You?
Adele: Awesome.
Sammy: Great.
Sammy (DR): These people just evicted me unanimously, so I'm channeling all that angry energy towards winning this competition.
*Sammy drops*
Sammy: Dammit!
Sammy (DR): I honestly just lost concentration for a second and lost my grip. It sucks.
*Armanti drops*
JB: Sammy and Armanti drop out of nowhere! Down to 8. James, Ry, Erik, Bob, Davos, Candy, Chris, Adele. All of them fighting for HOH. For the evictees, they only need one of them to drop until two come back in the game.
Ry (DR): I need this bad. I feel like I'm slipping and I am just hoping somebody falls before I do.
James (DR): I don't know how much I have left in me, but just one more person needs to drop. I can taste victory now.
Erik (DR): I really want this. Getting out now would suck.

JB: Bob and Davos and Ry drop immediately after Erik, and now we are down to four. Adele, James, Chris, and Candy. All have a partner in this game and a win would make their partner immune from eviction and the two would split to become two separate players.
James (DR): I'm back in the game, which is what I came out to do. But I don't have any juice left.
*James drops*
JB: James is out. James, meet your new partner, Ry.
Ry: Hey James!
James: Whats up?
Ry (DR): I think James will make a great partner and I hope we do well together, but I also think we could be a target if Chris or Candy win HOH.
Candy: How are you guys doing?
Chris: Good.
Adele: I'm good too. I really want this one guys. You both will be safe.
Adele (DR): We worked with Chris and Candy last week to keep us safe, and I'm willing to do that again, but if they are no longer a pair, they might no longer want to play with us. So I need to win this one.
Chris: We want this too. This is our chance to break up.
Adele: Y'all had my back last week, so don't think that was just last week. If y'all aren't a pair, I'll still have y'alls backs.
Candy: Chris, I'm willing to drop for her.
Chris: Really? You sure?
Candy (DR): I thought Adele was in the best spot out of all of us, and if we didn't take that deal when we did, that may have caused an issue if we didn't win and take the deal.
Candy: Trust me. I think we should do it.
Adele: You both are safe.
*Candy drops*
Candy: Chris, do it!
Chris: I'm not ready. I really want this win.
Adele: OK, we'll duel for it.
Adele (DR): Chris not taking my deal really was surprising. I thought he would definitely take it.
Chris (DR): I have to protect my alliance here. If I let Adele win, Ethan and Hope go up, and that might be just as bad as me going up at this point.
*2 hours later*
Adele (DR): I'm still up here. I feel good. Chris wants this, and so do I, and we are going to fight for it.
Chris (DR): I'm struggling but I'm doing my best to try and not show it. I really need this win because I feel like I screwed up royally earlier.
*Chris drops*
JB: Congratulations Adele! You are the new HOH!
Adele: Woo!
Armanti: Great job girl!
JB: This means that you and Armanti are now two separate houseguests and players, and Armanti has been granted immunity this week.
Candy (DR): I don't know how to feel about this. Adele promised me safety but my idiot partner did not drop and he lost and now we're probably going up. Stupid.

Adele: This is great!
Ry: I know! Couldn't be better!
Armanti: Someone strong is going this week.
Leslie: It's us four and James to the end. It has to be.
Leslie (DR): It's great to have Ry back in the house with me. She's my OG, and having James in the house is great too. He can be our comp winning shield and can help our alliance in a big way.
Armanti: How does James feel about working with us?
Ry: He's good. He'll do what I tell him. He was barely here for the game to really get started so I'm sure he'll appreciate what I say.
Ry (DR): I feel very confident that James and I will work well together. He was barely here so he needs an alliance, and me being his partner is a great way for that to happen.
Bob: Hey man!
James: Yo, what's up Bobby?
Bob: I'm good.
Bob (DR): I've been a free agent in this game. I'm kind of floating, and I don't really have any allegiance to anyone. However, James coming into the house is a good opportunity for me.
James: So, what's going on?
Bob: I trust you and I want you to be my guy in this game because I've kind of been in the middle so far but I haven't had much to do in this game yet.
James: OK, what's going on?
Bob: So, there are two groups of four. Candy, Chris, Ethan, and Hope. Then, the girls. Adele, Armanti, Ry, Leslie. Davos is kind of in the middle, but he leans with Candy and Chris more.
James: What side do you lean more towards?
Bob: Neither. I hate all of their asses.
James: Haha.
Bob: At this point, I could care less. I'm in a good spot though. We need to let these two groups go after each other and just float in the middle. That's our best play at this point, but I need an ally and I hope you can be that guy for me.
James: Yeah, man. I really want to be that guy for you.
Bob: Awesome.
James (DR): Bobby and I would make a good team I feel. I agree with his strategy of floating in the middle but I'm worried that the girls will rope me in because of Ry. I need to play that side, but I also need to try and play the other too.
-DAY 40-
Candy: I'm worried we are going up.
Chris: She did promise you safety.
Candy: Yeah, but was it valid even though you didn't drop?
Chris: I would think so. If she puts us up, I'll be pissed.
Candy: Let's hope we don't go up.
Candy (DR): If Chris and I go up today, I'll be upset. Not at Adele, but more at Chris. He would basically say to screw off at my game.
Adele: I promised Candy safety, but Chris didn't take my offer.
Armanti: So, do you want to put them up?
Adele: I'm not sure. I think Ethan should go up. But if I put C & C next to them, they'll be the target.
Armanti: Right. It would make sense to go after them this week though. They are a pair and that's taking out two birds with one stone.
Adele: Yeah.
Adele (DR): I could go one of two directions here. If it were totally up to me, Chris and Ethan would go up. But if I put Chris up, Candy goes up too, and I promised Candy safety. I don't know if I should punish her for something her partner did. A lot of scenarios are playing in my head and I just have to pick the right one for me and Armanti and my alliance.

Ethan (DR): I hate being up next to Hope, but I'd be lying if I told you that this surprised me.
Candy (DR): OMG! Not on the block and it feels so good! Adele honored our deal and I won't forget that.
Adele (DR): I chose to keep my word with Candy and not put her up. I hope that Candy sees that I do have her back because it's important that I have as many connections in this game. Closing the door on Candy and Chris would be bad for my game.

Adele: I promised you safety, so I wasn't going to go back on that. I want to have your back in this game.

Candy (DR): I'm glad Adele kept her word and I feel like I always have her in my back pocket if I need her later in the game. I'm glad we can continue to work together.

James: Houseguests, today's veto competition is called "How Much Do You Want It?" and here is how it works. You will each get a series of seven questions and you must answer them. The person willing to bid the highest amount will get the amount of veto points associated with that question. The person with the most veto points at the end of seven questions will win the veto. Does everybody understand?
All: Yes!
James: OK, I will give you your questions and you can scatter across the backyard to answer the questions.
*HGs answer questions*
James: The questions have been answered and the results have been tallied.
James: Here is question one: Today is Day 42. There are 33 days left in the Big Brother house. For how many days will you be willing to wear a chicken costume to win 10 veto points?
James: Ethan and Hope will split 10 points and will have to wear a chicken costume for the next 14 days. Second question: For how many days will you be willing to go on slop for 10 veto points?
James: Ethan gets 10 more veto points and will be on slop for the next 30 days. Third question: How many veto points from 1-50 would you be willing to give up for $1,000?
Bob (DR): I didn't need to win this competition, so what's the point in even trying? I got my money and at least I came away with something.
James: Fourth question: You won't know how many competitions will take place in the remaining 33 days, but for how many days will you be willing to sit out of competitions?
James: Bob gets 10 veto points and cannot participate in the next 21 days. Fifth question: There are 100 pies in the house. How many of those pies will you take to be thrown in the face for 10 veto points?
James: All of you except for Bob will split 10 veto points, therefore, you each receive 2 points. Sixth and final question: how much of the $500,000 prize are you willing to give up to win this veto competition?
Hope (DR): Ethan is up by 10 points, so I need this win because I'm the only one that can catch up. If anybody else gets this, Ethan wins.
Ethan (DR): I hope my wager was enough because I need these points.
James: Ethan will surrender $250,000 from the cash prize if he wins, and with 27 points, congratulations Ethan! You won the POV!
Ethan (DR): Woo! Yes! I've got the veto!
Hope: Good job Ethan!
Ethan: Thanks love!
Hope (DR): I'm happy for Ethan, but I know I'm not coming off the block and that sucks.
Adele (DR): As soon as I saw what the veto was, I knew Ethan or Hope would win. As much as I wanted this veto, this doesn't make or break my game, but now I have to come up with a replacement and that won't be easy.

Adele: OK, so I need to find a replacement.
Armanti: Candy and Chris. Who else?
Adele: They will go if I put them up.
Armanti: And is that a bad thing? They are a pair.
Adele: They kept us safe last week.
Armanti: It's a different game now Adele. We are apart and we can be in control. Taking out the two of them would put us in a great spot.
Adele (DR): I promised Candy safety, but Armanti makes good points. If I decide to put Candy and Chris up, they'll go home. If not, I'll put up a pawn like Davos and Hope will go. I just have to decide what I want to do with my HOH.

Adele: Of course. There's no reason for me to go after you. Are you evicting Hope this week?
Candy: Probably not. Chris doesn't want to.
Adele: Breaking her and Ethan up made sense to me, so that's why they went up to start the week.
Candy: She still needs the votes, but she's my friend. I should at least try to keep her.
Adele: Yeah, I get it.
Adele (DR): Candy voting for Davos this week is very annoying. I've had her back all week but this is exactly why I'm getting rid of Hope. If I take out Candy's friends, she'll be forced to come to me. She'll have to forgive me, right?
Candy (DR): I survived by the skin of my teeth this week. Adele could have put me on the block twice this week, but she didn't. I think she really has my back, and the way Chris has been this week, and with Hope going out the door, Adele is someone I could work with long-term.
Hope: I really hope you can keep me this week.
Bob: Do you have the votes?
Hope: Chris & Candy and Ethan, and I need two more.
Bob: Well, if you don't have the votes, I can't save you.
Hope (DR): Bob not even giving me the time of day is very annoying. Him completely throwing the veto competition is very strange and I need to be able to rally the troops against him.
Hope: Hey Adele!
Adele: Hey!
Hope: Can we talk?
Adele: Yeah. What's up?
Hope: I think you put me up this week because you think I'm coming after you, but I'm not. For you and me, it's best if we get the floaters out. Davos and Bob. If I win HOH, Bob is going home. I'm not coming after you, but Davos is.
Adele: So if I get the votes?
Hope: I have your back. 100%.
Adele (DR): I know Davos is after me, and Hope might not be. This might actually be worth the reason to flip the vote this week. I know Candy would be happy about it, and Davos will never be on my side in this game. Hope might.

Hope: Friends, friends, just friends. Maybe.
JB: Haha. Thank you Hope for being on this season and we will see you back here on finale night to crown the winner of BB2. You are off to jury BUT you will be receiving company very soon.
Hope: Really?
