If he voted for Joe anyways, why would he play the idol? Especially on Will? He could have either A) kept it or B) Voted for Joe and played the idol on Joe, so if Joe was telling the truth he would have stayed and if not he would have gone home.
Also, I think Shirin made the wrong move. They will get rid of her before Jenn and Joe would have gone before she did, so she should have kept Joe.
