As someone who use to weigh 350 pounds and I lost 130 about two years ago, I feel like I am entitled to give my input. When someone shows hatred towards someone for being fat it is very hurtful. You think anyone likes being fat? Its most likely something that the person has struggled with their entire lives. Nobody here will understand it unless they are obese but it really is hurtful what this girl said.
Here is an example, if someone got on here and started using the homophobic F word then you would all flip the fuck out. Im gay and I use to be fat and I can verify that they are both serious struggles and although they are completely different the amount of hurt you feel when someone says something like that is equivalent.
I have family who are autistic. Ever wonder how they feel when they hear someone call someone retarded? they fell hurt.
What if a black person hears the n word used out of hate, how do you think they feel?
when it comes down to it this isn't about some spoiled girl calling a guy fat. To me it is just sad to see someone so young talking like this and being so void of self awareness and it is an extremely disheartening reminder about the ignorance that is becoming more and more relevant everywhere.
I'm a big girl and I applaud your weight loss. Congrats! And I love this blog....it does show that maybe tengaged isn't so bad afterall....I wish everyone could have your mindset < 3
