its a scientific theory. theres a difference between a normal theory and a scientific theory. A scientific theory is something that is basically true but cant be proven that it isn't false.
In other words thousands of experiments are done and its true, but it cant be factualized. For example, we know that the sun is millions of mile away from the earth..... we know this is true but it cant be proven.

That's a bad example of a theory. A better example of a theory is the "theory of gravity" because we can't really prove that gravity exists or know why it happens, but it so obviously does.
it could be billions. my point was that evolution is pretty much true. it isn't just a glorified guess. someone said it was because a theory is a guess
